"In a story, someone had a dream. In that Dream, someone told a story." A Dream Like a Dream is one of the most celebrated Chinese theatrical masterworks of the 21st century. It was conceived and created by Stan Lai, who recently became the first Chinese theatre professional inducted into the Sibiu Walk of Fame at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Romania's pre-eminent performing arts event. In 2002, the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre was the first professional company to mount A Dream Like a Dream, winning Best Overall Performance, Best Costume Design and Best Supporting Actor (TragedyDrama) at the 12th Hong Kong Drama Awards. After a hiatus of 17 years, the HKRep produces this work anew, co-directed by Stan Lai and HKRep Assistant Artistic Director Fung Wai Hang, with special guests Louisa So, three-time Hong Kong Drama Award Best Actor Poon Chan Leung and ViuTV series star Cecilia Choi from My Very Short Marriage leading a 30-member cast of HKRep company members and other outstanding local actors. The production runs from July 28th to September 8th at The Box, Freespace, Art Park, West Kowloon Cultural District. On July 11th, a limited number of tickets will be available for sale for the preview performance (July 27th) and the production run from URBTIX outlets and the West Kowloon Cultural District.

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) with Principal Guest Conductor Yu Long invites you and your family to explore classical music favourites inspired by Shakespeare. Actors from the Hong Kong Shax Theatre Group will present excerpts from the plays that inspired the music from Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet to Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The concert takes place at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall on 23 June 2019 (Sunday, 3PM, ONE performance only).

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) and the China NCPA Orchestra (NCPAO) embark on their second musical journey. This year, two woodwind quintets from the two orchestras join hands to present two performances of the same fabulous programme in two cities - 13 June (last Thursday) at the National Centre for the Performing Arts Multi-Functional Theatre in Beijing and 18 June (tomorrow) at the Tai Kwun JC Cube in Hong Kong. Once again the Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China in Beijing supports this collaboration with the aim of strengthening cultural links between Hong Kong and Mainland China and between the two cities.

Continuing the 45th anniversary celebrations of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil), we are pleased to have invited another former Music Director, David Atherton, to conduct the finale of the HK Phil's 45th concert series. The concert will feature the Asian premiere of Tippett's Praeludium for brass, bells and percussion, and Holst's grand orchestral spectacular, The Planets Suite. Grammy Award-winning violinist Augustin Hadelich will join the orchestra and Maestro Atherton in Britten's Violin Concerto. The concert will be held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall on 7 & 8 June.

At the forefront is a magical evening of an all-Mozart programme featuring the orchestra's Principal Horn Lin Jiang as soloist on the coming Friday and Saturday, 19 & 20 April, at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. This tribute to Mozart opens with his Symphony no. 1, and continues with Horn Concerto no. 4 and one of his final masterpieces, Symphony no. 40.
