Ma-Yi Theater Company, in association with The Public Theater, present the world premiere play by Mike Lew, now playing through Sunday, July 29, 2018. TEENAGE DICK, which follows Ma-Yi's phenomenal success with the critically acclaimed KPOP, winner of three 2018 Lucille Lortel Awards, is choreographed by Jennifer Weber (KPOP), directed by Tony Award nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God, Present Laughter), and stars Tiffany Villarin (House Rules) and Gregg Mozgala (Light Shining). It runs Off-Broadway at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette St).

Ma-Yi Theater Company, in association with The Public Theater, is pleased to announce a two-week extension of TEENAGE DICK. The world premiere play by Mike Lew will now play through Sunday, July 29, 2018. (It was previously announced to close on Sunday, July 15).

Winners for the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced just last night at The Town Hall. In keeping with Drama Desk's mission, nominators considered shows that opened on Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway during the 2017-2018 New York theater season in the same competitive categories.

Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for media covering New York theatre announced today its award winners for the 2017-18 season in 27 categories.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) (Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) announced today a one-week extension for LIGHT SHINING IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, by NYTW Usual Suspect and five-time Obie Award winner Caryl Churchill (Love and Information; A Number) directed by NYTW Usual Suspect, Tony Award nominee, & three-time Obie Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812). LIGHT SHINING IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, NYTW's eighth collaboration with Churchill, began previews on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, and will open Monday, May 7 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003). LIGHT SHINING IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, which was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, May 27, will now run through Sunday, June 3, 2018.

In the past few weeks, we've watched the nominations roll in. Today the final crop of nominees have been revealed, all leading to next week's ultimate announcement- the 2018 Tony nominations.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories for the 33rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST.  This year's event will be hosted by actors Laura Benanti and Jason Jones and will once again serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.
