Cast and Contributors Announced For LOVE & KINDNESS IN A TIME OF QUARANTINE

This will be a compilation of songs and monologues about life during the coronavirus pandemic, curated and directed by Regina Taylor and performed by Sammy Rat Rios, Cherish Robinson, Marlene Beltran, Paloma Nance, Casie Luong, Gabrielle Beckford, Marti Etheridge and Associate Artistic Director Christie Vela. Featuring new works by local Dallas artists, this will be a collective effort to evaluate what it means to be human during a global nightmare.

Casting Announced For Free Future Labs Reading Of TOKENS OF PROMISE, March 20

Goodman Theatre announces the cast for the FREE live reading of its third Future Labs' play, Tokens of Promise by Ada A. directed by Sydney Chatman. In addition, Christina Anderson's How To Catch Creation, directed by Niegel Smith, launches the Encore series—four plays from the theater's “video vault” curated by the Goodman's Artistic team.

August Wilson High School Competition Finalists Announced

The August Wilson Monologue Competition announces the finalists for the 2021 August Wilson Monologue Competition and the new “Designing August” competition.  The Chicago finals will be held virtually on March 22, 2021 at 6pm. Each year, hundreds of high schoolers compete for a chance to represent Chicago in the national competition, which will also be held virtually this year.

Center Theatre Group Announces Digital Stage Schedule for March 15 – March 21

Matthew Bourne’s production of “The Red Shoes” premieres Friday, March 19 at 8 pm and streams Saturday, March 20 at 5 and 8 pm; and Sunday, March 21 at 1 and 5 pm (all times Pacific). The Red Shoes” is a tale of obsession, possession and one girl’s dream to be the greatest dancer in the world.
