The Peace Center presents An Evening with Gladys Knight on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m.

Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and Managing Director Maggie Boland announce the full lineup for Signature Theatre's 2019/20 season.

The month of May at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is an ode to the genius of some of the greatest composers of all time, and some of today's most brilliant pianists. An all-Mozart program features revered American pianist Jeremy Denk, and celebrated Canadian piano virtuoso Louis Lortie joins the TSO for two different programs. Not-to-be-missed concerts include Beethoven Symphony 5, Mahler Symphony 7, and Pines of Rome.

Today BET Networks announced second season pick-ups for both its half-hour subversive, smart, serialized comedy series 'BOOMERANG,' and the critically-acclaimed period drama based on the untold rise of the iconic music and dance program 'Soul Train,' 'AMERICAN SOUL.' BET is investing in partnerships with leading Black content creators with unique creative voices to bring viewers elevated storytelling and premium programming.

Today, they're premiering their new video for the single 'Outside In,' from their upcoming self-titled EP out April 11th, via BlackBook. They say 'the song itself decisively harkens back to the best of '80s soul-funk-pop, and could almost be mistaken for, say, Earth, Wind & Fire... with a little of that George Michael suaveness thrown in.' 

ABC and dick clark productions announced today that the "2019 American Music Awards®," the world's largest fan-voted awards show, will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 24 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.

Resonance Records discovery Polly Gibbons, a British-born star on the rise, has a sound and style that give off sparks. It's raw, raspy, and full of heat; it sputters and growls, carves out funky grooves, and wails into the skies. All I Can Do, her third Resonance release, the label's founder George Klabin, places Gibbons in front of an audience, where she's at her most explosive.

Dance for Life Chicago announces a lineup of popular companies and artists returning to the stage August 17 at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Ida B. Wells Dr., Chicago. Dance for Life, which mobilizes Chicago's dance community by raising funds through dance, presents this annual benefit performance, which this year is followed by a gala reception at the Hilton Chicago.

Lauded jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater, accompanied by THE MEMPHIS SOULPHONY, will be bringing her latest show MEMPHIS: YES, I'M READY, based on her latest musical release Memphis: Yes, I'm Ready to The Wallis for one night only March 23, 2019.
