Photo Flash: First Look at MAME at the Hope Mill Theatre

MAME, a classic 1960's musical, with book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, has not been seen in the UK since the original West End production in 1969 starring Ginger Rogers. Set in New York City and spanning the Great Depression and World War II, the musical focuses on eccentric bohemian Mame Dennis.

Joseph Taff Appointed May Festival Choral Conducting Fellow

The Cincinnati May Festival is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Taff as the Choral Conducting Fellow for the 2019-2020 season. Taff will assist Director of Choruses Robert Porco in the leadership of the May Festival Chorus throughout the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra subscription season as well as the 2020 May Festival. 

DIXIE'S TUPPERWARE PARTY Comes to The Playhouse @ Westport Plaza

Dixie Longate, the fast-talking Tupperware Lady, packed up her catalogues, left her children in an Alabama trailer park and took off-Broadway, the UK & Australia by storm! Emery Entertainment is thrilled to welcome her back to the Playhouse @ Westport Plaza for a multi-week engagement filled with outrageously funny tales, heartfelt accounts, FREE giveaways, audience participation and the most fabulous assortment of Tupperware ever sold on a theatre stage. BWW Interview: Nick Winston Talks MAME at Hope Mill Theatre

After revamping Cats and taking on other iconic musicals like Fame, director and choreographer Nick Winston brings Mame back to the stage. The last time the UK saw the show (which has music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and a book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee) it was 1969 and Ginger Rogers was playing the lead role on Drury Lane. Now, 60 years later, Tracie Bennett is going to be Autie Mame at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester.

Take A Risk On New Works At Orlando PLAYFEST 2019

The Basel-Kiene Family joins City Beverages in presenting PlayFest. Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF's PlayFest 2019 is set for November 1 a?" 3 and 8 a?" 9, 2019 and features seven readings of new plays in development. At the two-weekend festival, patrons will experience ground-breaking new works while participating in the creative process. Morgan's Pier Extends Season With Fall Fest, New Menus, Seasonal Sips And Fall Decor

Fall Fest at Morgan's Pier returns for the fifth season, with four more weeks of great views and live entertainment, plus tons of seasonal surprises. Between now and October 26th, head to the waterfront as Morgan's Pier transforms into an autumn wonderland - complete with twinkling lights, fall decor, seasonal beers, fall cocktails, weekly special events and a new menu by Chef Jon Adair. New for this year, Morgan's will add on additional days of operation, offering al fresco dining and drinking five days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday. Also, new this year, Morgan's will be rain or shine as new clear walls have been installed that can roll away or roll out based on the weather of the day.

Lyric Opera Of KC Welcomes Carol Vaness For a Free Master Class

Lyric Opera of Kansas City today announced a rare opportunity to see a master at work when world-renowned soprano Carol Vaness teaches a Master Class with the Lyric Opera Resident and Apprentice Artists on Sat., Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. in Lyric Opera's Michael and Ginger Frost Production Arts Building (712 E. 18th St., Kansas City, MO 64108). Currently a vocal instructor at Indiana University and Aspen Music Festival, Vaness will lead each singer through a selected aria, stopping and correcting as needed, to help hone the singer's vocal technique and dramatic interpretation. A brief reception will follow the vocal work session.

MCP Announces The Cast Of Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP

The Monmouth Community Players, along with marquis sponsor the Monmouth Federal Credit Union, are excited to announce the cast of the first show of their 28th season, Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP. The show is being directed by Danny Gay of Monmouth and assistant directed by David Marshall of Monmouth.
