AMC released the trailer for the final six episodes of its Emmy-nominated acclaimed drama Better Call Saul. The final episodes will conclude the complicated journey and transformation of its compromised hero, Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), into criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. Carol Burnett is also set to appear. Carol Burnett will play a character named “Marion.” In addition to Burnett, as previously announced, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, will appear reprising their Breaking Bad roles of “Walter White” and “Jesse Pinkman,” respectively, as the show draws to its conclusion.

The cast includes Niecy Nash, Giancarlo Esposito, Sharon Stone, Aleyse Shannon, Gracie Marie Bradley, Kyle Bary, and Micheal Ward. A gifted young Black woman struggles to maintain her voice and identity after she’s offered a lucrative recording contract, setting off a fierce battle between her family, the label, and her closest friend.

AMC Networks has announced that it had greenlit a new series starring Bob Odenkirk for 2023 called Straight Man, with partners Sony Pictures’ Television TriStar TV and Gran Via. The project was announced as fast-track development earlier this month in advance of AMC Networks’ upfront event in New York City, and that turned out to be one fast track.

Created by Executive Producer John Mankiewicz (House of Cards), from a story by Salt producer Paul Jarrico, co-written by Jamie Napoli, directed by Aaron Lipstadt (Bosch, Elementary, Medium), The Big Lie also stars Kate Mara, Ana de la Reguera, John Slattery, Bradley Whitford, Lisa Edelstein, Giancarlo Esposito, David Strathairn, and more.

Produced and distributed by Boat Rocker, Orphan Black: Echoes will have a 10-episode first season. Anna Fishko (Pieces of Her, Fear the Walking Dead) is creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer with John Fawcett, the co-creator of the original series who directed 17 episodes across all five seasons, on as director and executive producer.

Aaron Zelman and Paul Lieberstein, who are adapting the project from the novel of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo, would serve as co-showrunners. Straight Man would be Odenkirk’s third series on AMC, following Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Airing on five consecutive Saturdays, the marathon will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews and bonus content, including Better Call Saul “Easter eggs” and Breaking Bad trivia - one factoid per episode. It will also explore connections between fan-favorite characters from both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
