Today, the producers of HAIR held an open, non-Equity casting call for the Broadway production, in anticipation of the current cast's upcoming move to the West End. Alexandra Silber stars as Julie Jordan, direct from her critically acclaimed portrayal of Julie Jordan in 'Carousel' at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End (TMA Award - Best Actress). Silber is joined by Robert Patteri as Billy Bigelow ('Scarlet Pimpernel,' 'Beauty and the Beast'.) Veteran character actor M. Emmet Walsh appears as the Starkeeper. Michael Michetti, co-artistic director of The Theatre at Boston Court, will direct, with choreography by Lee Martino and musical direction by Darryl Archibald.

Last night, cast members from HAIR participated in the City Harvest canned food drive last night. The truck was parked in front of the Al Hirschfeld Theatre from 4 to 7 and cast members were there to greet fans dropping off food. With this, the cast continues its commitment to community service.

Gavin Creel, the Tony nominated star of the hit musical HAIR, injured his ankle during number 'I've Got Life.' He suffered the injury at yesterday's matinee performance of the Tony winning revival at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
