The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organization, will honor those committed to promoting equality and tolerance at the 21st Annual GLAAD media awards in ceremonies taking place in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. By recognizing and honoring media for outstanding images of the LGBT community, the GLAAD Media Awards serve as a benchmark for the media industry and complement GLAAD's work to bring LGBT images and stories to Americans.

This week, on April 13, HAIR opened at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End. BroadwayWorld brings you the opening production photos!

A celebration of life, a love letter to freedom, and a passionate cry for hope and change, 'HAIR' features some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage including ‘Aquarius', ‘Good Morning Starshine', ‘Let the Sun Shine In' and the title number.

The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical has its official Opening Night at Gielgud Theatre in London's West End tonight, Wednesday, April 14th.

The Penn State Thespians will be spreading peace and love April 8-10 with their production of Hair at Schwab Auditorium. Performances take place at 7:30PM with a matinee on the 10th at 2PM. Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults, and can be purchased at the door or at any CPA ticket center.

American Stage Theatre Company will produce the Broadway smash hit musical that changed a generation, HAIR, during the theatre's 25th anniversary production of American Stage in the Park, April 21 thru May 16. Pay What You Can nights are April 21 and 22.

Reprise Theatre Company's production of 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,' 1962's Tony-Award-winning Best Musical, will play its final performance on March 28 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. Directed by David Lee, the production's book is by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

Broadway veterans Kevin Kern, Luther Creek, Crystal Joy and Phyre Hawkins have officially joined London's HAIR Tribe, which is set to begin performances at the Gielgud Theatre on April 1st. The join most of the original Broadway cast, which is making the transfer. A new Tribe opened on Broadway in early March.
