The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted by actor and comedian Taran Killam. Tony Nominee Brian J. Smith to Star in Independent Film THE PASSING SEASON

Brian J. Smith (The Glass Menagerie, The Columnist, Come Back Little Sheba) has signed on to star in the independent feature The Passing Season.  Gabriel Long is making his feature debut, directing the script he co-wrote with Matthew-Lee Erlbach. Rebecca Atwood will produce. Shooting is set for this month in Rhode Island. Smith will play 'Sam,' a professional hockey player whose career comes to an abrupt end. He returns to his hometown, reconnects with a group of high school friends, and attempts to escape into an earlier, simpler time in his life.  (more...)
