Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are pleased to present the schedule for the month of February! At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the iconic Lionel Hampton Big Band Featuring Jason Marsalis, current GRAMMY nominee Catherine Russell, the Birdland debut of AGUAS Trio with Omar Sosa, Yilian Cañizares and Gustavo Ovalles, and iconic vocalist Jane Monheit. Internationally recognized trumpeter Rachel Therrien, the Seth Weaver Big Band, and The Voice contestant Melinda Rose Rodriguez will also be performing upstairs. 

What started as an idea of a tribute to the remarkable composers who found themselves in exile in California in the first half of the last century turned out to be a highly acclaimed and sold-out show in New York City. Following performances at the Triad Theater and Off-Broadway's York Theatre both artists now look forward to performing at the prestigious Feinstein's/54 Below.

Cameron Mackintosh presents Les Misérables - The Staged Concert with a company of over 65 running until 30 November 2019 at the intimate Gielgud Theatre, next door to the home of Les Misérables at the recently re-named Sondheim Theatre.

As rehearsals begin for Les Miserables -The Staged Concert, Cameron Mackintosh introduces Shan Ako and Lily Kerhoas who complete the principal casting as Eponine and Cosette respectively. They join the previously announced Michael Ball as Javert, Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean, Carrie Hope Fletcher as Fantine, Matt Lucas as Thenardier, Rob Houchen as Marius, Bradley Jaden as Enjolras, Katy Secombe as Madame Thenardier and, for three performances a week, John Owen-Jones as Jean Valjean.

Nicolas King, one of the most  exciting, talented and technically disciplined JazzPop voices around was swinging at The Green Room 42 last night.  

Two-time Grammy nominated DJ and Producer Steve Aoki joins forces with Brazilian superstar Alok for their first official collaboration “Do It Again”. Directed by Reece Charchol, the animated music video follows the duo on a psychedelic journey through alternate realities, as they attempt to escape a shapeshifting evil force, masked as a bunny rabbit. Stream 'Do It Again' Here

The 33rd Annual MAC Awards were handed out last night (Tuesday, March 26, 2019) during a glitzy evening at New York City's SONY Hall.

Katy Lipson of Aria Entertainment and Joseph Houston and William Whelton of Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester are delighted to announce Olivier Award-winning actress Rebecca Trehearn as Rebecca in the UK premiere of a new version of the Stephen Schwartz musical RAGS from 2 March - 6 April, with a national press night on 5 March.

Today, two-time Grammy nominated DJ and Producer Steve Aoki and multi-platinum Norwegian DJ and Producer Alan Walker team up to drop re-envisioned track, “Are You Lonely” featuring ISÀK. The instrumental and lyrical melody are based on the original “Lonely” release that came out at the end of last year on Alan Walker's album, now reimagined with new lyrics, arrangement and performance.

Last night, Katy Lipson of Aria Entertainment and Joseph Houston and William Whelton of Hope Mill Theatre hosted 'An Evening with Stephen Schwartz' - a showcase of the legendary, multi-award-winning American lyricist and composer's best loved repertoire and his first ever UK panel discussion about his life and work.
