SongwritingWith:Soldiers (SW:S), a nonprofit organization co-founded in 2012 by Program Director Mary Judd and Creative Director Darden Smith, has announced that longtime program collaborator and songwriter Jay Clementi will assume the newly formed position of Music Director.

 PBS will present SONGWRITING WITH SOLDIERS, a powerful one-hour concert special featuring veterans, service members and award-winning songwriters coming together for a night of music illustrating military veterans' experiences. The program, airing Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings), was filmed in August at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium with support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).

Greenville favorite Edwin McCain and accomplished songwriter Maia Sharp return for the Peace Center's Songwriters Concert Series and Workshop Series. Each concert brings a new guest singer-songwriter to the Upstate for an intimate one-of-a-kind listening room experience in Genevieve's theater lounge at the Peace Center. The guest artists will also join McCain and Sharp for a four-part Workshop Series.

“Jim Caruso's Cast Party,” the extreme open mic/variety show, made it's Nashville debut at The Franklin Theatre on September 7.  A packed house was privy to performances by Grammy winners, legends from the Country Music Hall of Fame, Broadway, pop, gospel and blues singers.

The encouraging and hopeful track was written by Grammy Award-winning, hit songwriters, Linda Thompson and Richard Marx as well as produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer, Ben Fowler.

Country music singer/songwriter Sandra Lynn celebrated a career milestone last night when she made her debut performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN at the 2018 Christmas 4 Kids live concert event. Lynn also took the opportunity to debut her new holiday single “My Christmas Wish for You” in her first live performance of the song, further sweetening the moment. The track was written by Grammy Award-winning, hit songwriters, Linda Thompson and Richard Marx as well as produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer, Ben Fowler.

Just in time for the holiday season, country music up-and-comer, Sandra Lynn, will be releasing an original Christmas song, “My Christmas Wish for You” via iTunes, Spotify and all digital and streaming services on Monday, November 19th. The encouraging and hopeful track can easily be placed within the cannon of modern holiday classics. Lynn's warm vocal backed by the simple instrumental throughout the song creates an embracing feeling of comfort from the first note.
