Red Bull Theater is now accepting submissions for their ANNUAL SHORT NEW PLAY FESTIVAL. Six brand new 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes inspired by this year’s theme: “Forbidden Love” will be selected through an open submission process.

The Saint Sebastian Players (SSP) announce the company is resuming live, in-person production with an expanded 40th Anniversary Season. The four-play lineup celebrates genres that have been popular with SSP audiences throughout its history—a classic comedy, a mystery and a musical—and looks to the future with a world premiere comedy co-authored by a company member.
This topical play centers around corrupt rich junk dealer Harry Brock, who brings his showgirl mistress Billie Dawn to Washington, D.C. Brock. He then hires journalist Paul Verrall to educate and refine her. She realizes how corrupt Harry is and begins interfering with his plans of helping his business ventures by bribing a congressman.
Elmwood Playhouse is set to reopen its doors for live indoor performances once again. The community theatre has been in operation since 1948 but like all performance venues, has been dark since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Elmwood Playhouse will be presenting two children's shows, new one-acts and the main stage show that was shuttered right before opening night in March 2020.

The Elmwood Playhouse of Nyack NY will be presenting 'Born Yesterday', written by Garson Kanin and directed by Melinda Pinto. 'Born Yesterday' is a surprisingly thought-provoking romantic comedy that is both funny and resonant in today's world. Love and lawlessness collide when a junkyard tycoon comes to Washington, DC with his girlfriend, ex-show girl Billie Dawn, to buy a senator. 'Born Yesterday' runs March 13th thru April 4th Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm with a Thursday night performance on April 2nd at 8pm and a Saturday matinee on April 4th at 2pm.
