Bucks County Playhouse continues its 80th Anniversary Season with an all-new production of the high-energy, international musical sensation, "Mamma Mia!"

Due to popular demand, The York Theatre Company has announced a second extension of the return engagement of the hit Off-Broadway musical Enter Laughing.

The countdown to the Canadian Opera Company's Centre Stage Gala has kicked off with the naming of committee co-chairs Lucia and Jeffrey Remedios. The pair has long been involved in shaping and supporting the Canadian music industry, with Jeffrey Remedios also serving on the COC Board of Directors, and is now looking forward to lending their creative talents to the COC's largest annual fundraiser in support of the COC Ensemble Studio.

The 14th Annual Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival is pleased to announce the details of its full 2019 program in September, titled Tennessee Williams and Yukio Mishima.

Thanks to a transformational gift from the Belzberg children in honour of Calgary-born community builder and philanthropist, Mrs. Jenny Belzberg CM, AOE, LLD, Banff Centre's most important training and performing arts venue will undergo a major revitalization. The renewal of the 52-year-old Eric Harvie Theatre will improve audience experience, and ensure that Banff Centre is able to meet the needs of artists who use it for education, creation, and presentation of their work. Construction will commence in November 2019, following the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival (October 26 - November 3, 2019), with the newly named Jenny Belzberg Theatre slated to open fall 2020.

Oscar® nominee John Travolta (1994, Best Actor, Pulp Fiction) and Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman (2004, Best Supporting Actor, Million Dollar Baby) appear onscreen together for the first time ever in The Poison Rose, available on Blu-ray (plus Digital), DVD, and Digital on June 25 from Lionsgate. This film is currently available On Demand. 

Love, death, growth, family…There are no exact words to pinpoint what KILL ME NOW is about or how to define the essence of the play. To borrow the words of the company, KILL ME NOW is a story of them who are special but ordinary and a story of us. The play deals with issues that we know are important but hesitant to talk about. Written by Canadian playwright, Brad Fraser, the black comedy KILL ME NOW had the first show of its third Korean production on May 11th at Sejong Cultural Center S Theater.

NPTC and Banana Boat Productions are reprising their powerful production of The Ritual by noted Trinidadian playwright Zeno Obi Constance at New Perspectives Studio, 458 West 37th Street (@10th Avenue.) This limited-run production celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Constance's ground-breaking play which caused a stir in 1979 when it was aired live on Trinidadian television-and then blacked out in the middle of the broadcast because it was perceived to be too shocking. Performances are June 19 - 30, 2019 , Weds - Sat @7:30pm, Sundays @4pm..

Dance music legend Sander van Doorn has applied the remix treatment to 'Lights Go Down', the latest release from Estonian artist Syn Cole and London-based vocalist Dakota.

Intaglio Productions has announced a special presentation of the original musical THE STORM, to be held at The Roosevelt Hotel Ballroom in NYC on July 19, 2019. The evening will include musical selections and dance numbers from the show and will feature Dancing With The Stars winner Sharna Burgess and Two Time Tony Award Nominee Alison Fraser. 3-D Theatricals celebrates its 10th Anniversary season with a lavish new production of the Tony Award®-winning musical, The Secret Garden, directed by 3-D Theatricals' producer and artistic director T.J. Dawson. The Secret Garden, featuring music by Tony Award nominee Lucy Simon, and book and lyrics by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman, will play a strictly limited engagement. Performances begin this Friday, May 3, and run through Sunday, May 19 only. Opening night is Saturday, May 4 at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (12700 Center Court Drive, Cerritos, CA).

Open Call, The Shed's commissioning and programming initiative for New York-based emerging artists, launches on Thursday, May 30, with new works by seven artists and collectives presented in The Griffin Theater over six weeks. The inaugural program continues June 19 through August 25 with a group show of 22 artists and collectives in Level 2 Gallery and presentations of new work by 15 artists and collectives in The Shed's open-air Plaza; a fourth group will be presented in 2020.
