Tickets for the new comedy musical, TOOTSIE, will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10am EST

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Tony Award winner Carole Shelley, who passed away on Friday, August 31 at age 79. Take a moment to remember the legendary star with a look back at some of her recent appearances.

From September 12th through the 15th on the Flat Rock Playhouse Mainstage will host the return of Donny Edwards: An Authentic Heart & Soul Tribute to The Kin!.  Edwards packed the houses in Flat Rock in 2015, 2016, 2017 and in 2018 is sure to do the same - just in time for visitors coming into Western North Carolina for the Tryon World Equestrian Games!

BroadwayWorld was on site when the cast and creative of the new comedy musical, Tootsie, which will play a pre-Broadway engagement at Broadway In Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre from September 11th - October 14th, met the press! Cal and Beth are selling their home. They're visited by Skip and Ellie, an engaged couple, very much in love who are eager to buy their first home. They're joined by Mike and Liz, apparently a couple of lookie-loos who decided to drop by and take a peek at the house for sale. The three couples get to chatting and begin to marvel at just how much they have in common. WAY too much in common, in fact. So much in common that it begins to become surreal.

Padron, Artistic Director), presents the world premiere of EL HURACÁN by Charise Castro Smith, directed by Laurie Woolery, September 28-October 20 at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, October 4.

HEARTBREAK HOTEL announced today that the production will no longer play through October 28th and is now in its final three weeks at Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut Street). HEARTBREAK HOTEL will close September 9, 2018 in Chicago.

Remember to React: 60 Years of Collecting is the first comprehensive installation of NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale's collection. Presented on the occasion of the institution's 60th anniversary, this exhibition will occupy the Museum's more than 28,000 square-feet of galleries and will open to the public in two phases on September 9, 2018 and November 18, 2018. Broadway In Chicago, the producers of HEARTBREAK HOTEL, and Authentic Brands Group (ABG), owner of Elvis Presley Enterprises today, are thrilled to announce a new four-week extension of their smash hit musical.  Tickets for the new block of tickets will go on-sale today.  Tickets will be available for performances through October 28, 2018.

The cast of HEARTBREAK HOTEL are inspired to host a Candlelight Vigil to honor Elvis as part of Elvis Week on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 6:15PM in front of the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut).  Elvis Week is an annual celebration to commemorate the life and legacy of Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll.  Elvis and HEARTBREAK HOTEL fans alike are welcome to join this celebration, which will be a Chicago addition to the Graceland tradition.
