The Atlanta Opera – “one of the most exciting opera companies in America” (Opera Wire) – closes its mainstage 2022-23 season with a milestone event: General and Artistic Director Tomer Zvulun's new production of Das Rheingold, the company's first production of any opera from Wagner's monumental Ring cycle (April 29–May 7).

Norfolk & Norwich Festival have announced virtuoso sitarist Jasdeep Singh Degun will be joining the 2023 line up this May, ahead of the full programme launch on Tuesday 21 February.

Baritone Michael Mayes, a native Texan, returns to Dallas for his first venture into Richard Wagner and The Ring Cycle, debuting the role of Alberich in a new production of Das Rheingold. Born and reared in Cut'n'Shoot, Mayes graduated with a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas.

Chamber Music Northwest (CMNW) will bring world-renowned cellist Alisa Weilerstein to Portland to perform the entire Bach Cello Suites in one evening.

Award-winner Angel Blue started off the proceedings at the Richard Tucker Gala (after Barry Tucker’s usual introduction/ode to his father, the great tenor) with a bang: Puccini’s justly famous aria “Vissi d’arte” from TOSCA. With a full programme for 2023 set to be announced in February, Norfolk & Norwich Festival  have today announced the first shows to go on sale for next year. The Festival will run for 17 days from 12 May - 28 May 2023 with artists from around the world and the region presenting a huge variety of work and events throughout the city and around the county.

The thriller follows recently widowed Dr. Nate Daniels (Idris Elba) and his two teenage daughters (Iyana Halley and Leah Sava Jeffries) as they travel to a South African game reserve managed by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley), an old family friend and wildlife biologist. Transforming ‘Falling’ into a euphoric D&B journey, ‘Falling’ combines exhilarating breakbeats with rousing snares and CeeLo’s instantly recognisable vocals. The original was first featured on Oakenfold’s latest studio Shine On, a 17-track masterpiece also featuring the likes of Aloe Blacc, Luis Fonsi, Eve, Benny Benassi, and Azealia Banks. 

Tyler Thompson, best known for producing acclaimed films such as Black Swan, American Made, Hacksaw Ridge and Trial of the Chicago 7, has announced his signing to Sony Music Nashville and CAA as well as his long-awaited music debut. Thompson’s first track, “Won’t Take Long,” is available now across streaming platforms.

OPERA America, the national service organization for opera, has welcomed a new class of six board members that includes creators, administrators, artist managers, and opera company trustees. They join the Board of Directors under the ongoing leadership of Chair Carol F. Henry, esteemed philanthropist and founding trustee of Los Angeles Opera.

The Shark is Broken - one of the most successful plays of the 2021-22 London season - will launch the new Mirvish Theatre season in Toronto. The comedy, which received  both critical and audience acclaim when it ran at the Ambassadors Theatre in London's West End, will have its North American premiere at the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre, September 25 to November 6, 2022.

Masked Wolf unveiled his new single “Madhouse” featuring Mike Posner. Masked Wolf has teamed up with a diverse array of acts such as G-Eazy, Bring Me the Horizon, Bebe Rexha, Alex Gaskarth (of All Time Low), and more, while Posner has collaborated with a number of industry staples including Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Big Sean, Nick Jonas, and more.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Kate Maguire have announced casting for shows in BTG’s Early Summer 2022 Season. The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and recipient of an NEA Grants for Arts Projects Award and more.
