Casting has been announced for the next season of the Olivier Award-winning production of Regents Park Open Air Theatre’s Jesus Christ Superstar. The tour will begin the 2022-2023 season on October 8 at the River Center for the Performing Arts in Columbus, GA and go on to play over 45 cities.

Theatre satire site The Broadway Beat will perform the latest edition of their live show, The Broadway Beat presents Act Three: Beauty and the Beast, on Monday April 18th, 7:00pm at Caveat on the lower east side. The show will also feature opening sets by Joe Pera, Abby Govindan, and Ethan Hardy.

The American Pops Orchestra will present the semi-final round of its 5th Annual NextGen National Competition: Finding the Voices of Tomorrow. The event is being shared with the public through a private broadcast on Saturday, January 29 from 8-9 p.m. ET.

Last night, the Dramatists Guild Foundation (DGF) held its annual Dramatists Guild Foundation Gala at the Manhattan Center in NYC. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photos from the red carpet below!

The Dramatists Guild Foundation celebrated Tony nominee David Yazbek on Monday, May 7, hosted by DGF board member Elizabeth Dewberry and Ahmet Kocabiyik. David spoke about his extensive and acclaimed body of work.

Director Lilleth Glimcher (The Flea Theater) stages CAENIS, a physical theater adaptation of a myth from Ovid's Metamorphoses at Pace Gallery, March 11-19. Created in collaboration with a hybrid group of multidisciplinary artists, CAENIS, merges sound, sculpture, video design, and dance.

The Flea Theater presents TAKE CARE, by Niegel Smith and Todd Shalom. This world premiere production marks Smith's directorial debut at his new artistic home and will feature The Bats, the resident acting company at the Flea. Previews start December 1 with Opening Night slated for Sunday, December 6.
