Opera Orlando's 2020-21 season continues to evolve as COVID-19 numbers remain in flux. Having already transitioned summer concerts and other events online, the Opera is delaying the “On the Mainstage” series from October to December.

Houston Grand Opera has announced HGO Digital, its all-new program of digital works for the 2020-21 season. Starting in September and extending through April 2021, HGO will release original video content bimonthly for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their homes, free of charge.

Powerhouse vocalist and actor Audra McDonald returns to the Van Wezel in 2021! Musician, vocalist and composer Damien Sneed brings A Tribute to Aretha Franklin: The Queen of Soul to the Hall for its Sarasota debut, and single tickets for South Pacific will be available for purchase this week.  

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall welcomes superstar instrumentalist Kenny G back to Sarasota in 2021! Additionally, single tickets for Blue Man Group, Riverdance 25th Anniversary Show and Fiddler on the Roof will be available for purchase beginning this week.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA, has announced part of the 94th Season with new shows running January - June, 2021. Tickets for the new season will go on sale to State Theatre Members on Tuesday August 4, to the public on Wednesday, August 12th.

This marks only the seventh Life Director honor that the Company has bestowed in its 55-year history which was voted on unanimously at a board meeting on Monday, January 27, 2020.

The 20/21 season begins with Kentucky Opera's second annual Open House at the Brown Theatre. On the mainstage, the opera continues to humanize the art form with three productions that celebrate the importance of friendship and community. In its second season, the Awakenings series will continue to partner with social service organizations to explore the connection of the operas' themes to our society today with arts-centered conversations. The Awakenings panel discussions are designed to open our eyes to the world around us by challenging tradition, questioning social narratives and inviting varied perspectives.

Now in its seventh year, the annual An Evening on the Stage gala dinner will honor philanthropists Carol and Dixon Doll on Wednesday, December 4, at 6 p.m.

Palm Beach Opera opens its 19-20 season with a fully-staged production of 'Hansel and Gretel' at Delray Beach's Crest Theatre, starring the company's artists in residence, on Dec. 6-8. Based on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Palm Beach Opera's charming production of 'Hansel and Gretel' will feature the company's Benenson Young Artists and Bailey Apprentice Artists, a lush folk-inspired score by Engelbert Humperdinck, and an imaginative set made entirely out of paper.

Opera San José is launching the holidays with a family-friendly production of Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel that offers treats to go along with this irresistible fairy tale. The star unveiling ceremony, which took place in front of the Paris Hotel and Casino on Las Vegas Blvd, was conducted by Las Vegas Walk of Stars president Bob Alexander.
