In a historic morning for Pop TV, the network's acclaimed comedy series  SCHITT'S CREEK received four nominations for the 71st Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Eugene Levy, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Catherine O'Hara, and Outstanding Contemporary Costumes. The nominations mark the first in the history of Pop TV which is now fully owned by CBS Corporation.

 CBC Gem original anthology series SAVE ME returns with six unforgettable new episodes (6x10min), continuing to take a comedic yet poignant look at lives on the brink of a 911 emergency incident. Premiering on June 27, National PTSD Awareness Day, the new season features the returning cast of eclectic paramedics, and will take viewers deeper as the first responders are forced to come to terms with their job's effect on their mental health. SAVE ME's new episodes will be available exclusively on the free CBC Gem streaming service.

Co-creator of “Schitt's Creek,” Dan Levy, took to Twitter to announce that the comedy has been renewed for a sixth and final season.

On last night episode's of Schitt's Creek, BroadwayWorld got a shout out from Moira Rose (Catherine O'Hara!) In the episode, Moira is co-directing a community theatre production of Cabaret, and tells her husband Johnny (Eugene Levy) she may have to take out an ad on BroadwayWorld.com. Executive Producer Terry Matalas and the cast of SYFY's 12 MONKEYS left fans clamoring for more following today's San Diego Comic-Con panel, in which an exclusive clip from the fourth and final season was unveiled in the room.

As Syfy celebrates its 25th anniversary and its recent brand reboot, the network is headed to San Diego Comic-Con bigger and better than ever before. In addition to 15 Syfy series panels or screenings, the network is rolling out a host of events, activations and parties designed to leave no fan behind.

Within the past week, I had the pleasure of meeting award - winning Canadian film and television actress, Emily Hampshire. She came in to speak to my Advanced Musical Theatre Class offering her insight into the film and television industry. Emily shared her story of how she made her dream become a reality. From an early age, she focused on her goals bringing her the success she has today.  Emily's infectious spirit permeated the classroom as 18 eager students hung on her every word. She was so supportive of us, excited to watch our performances and shared her enthusiasm.
