Featuring an incredible cast of talented performers and a wide range of musical styles, from pop to Golden Age Broadway to contemporary musical theatre (and everything in between) this memorable evening will be hosted by Actor Therapy‘s Managing Director Mathieu Whitman (he/him) with musical director Jason Wetzel (he/him) at the piano.

This playis filled with witty dialogue, word play, and intrigue. The cast works well together, makes good use of the space, and brings their characters to life with their facial expressions and movements. Oak Ridge Playhouse is one of only three theaters in the nation set to premiere Kenneth Jones' new play HOLLYWOOD, NEBRASKA. The Grammy-nominated Western Wind Vocal Sextet will present 'Of Dreams, Desires & Dragons: Music by Women from Hildegarde to Joni Mitchell'on Saturday, March 19 at 7:00 PM at St. John's in the Village, 218 West 11th Street, NYC (West Village). The concert celebrates Women's History Month with a rich assortment of music by classical and modern women composers. Both live in-person and live streaming tickets are available.

Bandstand had its Broadway opening in 2017, unfortunately closing the same year, but racking up a Tony for Best Choreography.

Today's subject Jennifer Elizabeth Smith is currently living her theatre life touring the country in Bandstand in which she portrays the lead character of Julia Trojan. The show plays here is DC at the National Theatre from March 3rd through 8th.

a?oeRight This Waya?? to the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts to see Bandstand. Audiences were so moved by the musical on February 18. Bandstand follows the story of veterans' home from World War II as they try to qualify for a music competition. The group becomes the Donny Nova band and intends to win the competition and dedicate it to the veterans that defended the United States. It is very appropriate for the show to come to Jacksonville, FL as we have not one, but two naval bases. You could feel the theater become heavy with an array of emotions as audience members were transported to this time period and watched these characters portray very real post-war circumstances.

Stopping only for one night on December 17, Johnson County Community College presented a new Broadway style musical called BANDSTAND in Yardley Hall. All told, BANDSTAND is a very good show and worth seeing should it come through again. It is one of those shows that aspires to be great, but doesn't quite get there.
