AMC has cast André Benjamin (André 3000) in the original anthology series Dispatches From Elsewhere. 

Comedian and “Space Prince” Julio Torres (HBO's “Los Espookys”, “Saturday Night Live”) will headline his first hour-long comedy special on HBO this summer, when MY FAVORITE SHAPES BY JULIO TORRES debuts SATURDAY, AUG. 10 (10:30-11:30 p.m. ETPT).  

FX today announced the cast that will star in the pilot for Gone Hollywood. Set in 1980, Gone Hollywood centers on a group of talent agents who defect from an old-guard percentery to found their own, which skyrockets to industry dominance, disrupting the business and changing movies forever. The show will mix its fictional protagonists with real-life entertainment figures and events.

FX has renewed its hit verité vampire comedy series What We Do in the Shadows for a second season, it was announced today by Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions. Four new episodes remain in season one with the finale set for Wednesday, May 29th, and season two will debut in 2020.

This morning, Film Independent announced the nominations for the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Spirit Awards are the primary fundraiser for Film Independent's year-round programs, which cultivate the careers of emerging filmmakers and promote diversity in the industry. Film Independent President Josh Welsh presided over the press conference held at the W Hotel in Hollywood, with actors Gemma Chan and Molly Shannon presenting the nominations. PBS revealed tonight that TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD was voted America's best-loved novel during this evening's GREAT AMERICAN READ "Grand Finale". The final episode, taped in front of a live audience at the Masonic Hall in New York City, counted down all 100 novels, which were first announced to the public in April. Idina Menzel has signed on for the Safdie Brothers' A24 movie Uncut Gems, according to Deadline. Menzel will be joining Adam Sandler, Eric Bogosian, Lakeith Stanfield and Judd Hirsch in the crime film.

AMC announced today that it has green-lit a new original anthology series, 'Dispatches From Elsewhere,' created by and starring Jason Segel. Segel will executive produce with Scott Rudin, Eli Bush and Garrett Basch. The hour-long anthology series will include viewer engagement elements across multiple media platforms.
