Now playing at the Orpheum Theatre through May 17, 2026, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child brings the wizarding world back—but in a way that feels more grown-up and a lot more personal.
The magic of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD has officially arrived in Atlanta, with the first-ever touring production now playing at the Fox Theatre as part of the 2025/2026 Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta season, running through March 15. To celebrate this landmark engagement, I caught up with Adam Grant Morrison, who stars as Albus Potter, Harry’s son, in this theatrical continuation of the beloved wizarding world. In our conversation, Morrison reflects on growing up in Atlanta, discovering theatre unexpectedly, stepping into an iconic role he once only dreamed of, and what it means to bring this magical story home to the Fox Theatre stage.
The reason the play works at all is because of the sheer strength of its production values and the commitment of its cast. When you look at all the design elements – sets, lighting, illusions, choreography – and combine it with performers who move through that space with the same ease as one breathes, it create a cohesive, immersive world that feels both magical and meticulously controlled.
The usher simply whispered “Enjoy the magic,” as we walked into the 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' production at the Providence Performing Arts Center this past Wednesday. The wife (Harry Potter Lover-read all the books 2-3 times) smiled while I (never read the books but saw a movie or two) pondered the statement and moment.
The cast has been set for the second year of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child North American tour. Nick Dillenburg joins the cast as Harry Potter alongside Adam Grant Morrison as his son Albus Potter, with Trish Lindstrom continuing as Ginny Potter.
With about a month left of its Hollywood run, BroadwayWorld sat down with John Skelley, who plays the adult Harry Potter in the show, to try and get the scoop on the show's secrets.
This CURSED CHILD is a banquet of magical delights that also happens to be a crackling good story, which should delight series neophytes and Potter-lovers alike.
