THE WIZARD OF OZ is the perfect holiday treat!

The Manatee Performing Arts Center has once again delighted audiences with its enchanting production of 'The Wizard of Oz,' a timeless musical that brings to life L. Frank Baum's beloved story.

CELLOVOCI, featuring BRANDEN & JAMES and EFFIE PASSERO, released their debut album 'THE PRAYER' today. The trio will perform at Carnegie Hall on October 17, showcasing their classical-crossover style.

Delightfully charming but also now slightly dated, MTW's expectedly family-friendly, colorfully saturated production is indeed a lovely, mostly entertaining stage recreation of the movie classic. But curiously, at times, the show feels subdued and tamed-down, and in dire need of an extra jolt of energy to match the story’s wildly madcap, campy premise.
