The Wizard of Oz has quickly become Sydney's smash hit summer musical, with almost every performance to date sold out and only a limited number of tickets left until the end of the run. Producers John Frost and Suzanne Jones announced today that due to demand, new tickets for the Melbourne season of The Wizard of Oz will go on sale on Monday 4 December from Ticketmaster.

The world's favourite musical has returned to Australia. Andrew Lloyd Webber's London Palladium production of The Wizard of Oz will have its Australian Premiere in Brisbane tonight at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC before travelling to the Capitol Theatre, Sydney from 30 December, the Festival Theatre, Adelaide from 3 April, and the Regent Theatre, Melbourne, from 15 May.

The 1947 musical fantasy FINIAN'S RAINBOW, with music by Burton Lane and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg, gets the Spinning Tree-tment September 1-17. The score, "one of the most enduringly delicious ever concocted for an American musical" (The New York Times), includes "Old Devil Moon," "How are things in Glocca Morra" and "Look to the Rainbow."
