Tickets to all 2025 Season shows at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre are now available to the public. The season includes five new shows to its stage, including the Broadway hits Jersey Boys and Waitress, plus Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express.

The 62nd New York Film Festival, IMAX, and Lionsgate have announced the special advance screening of NYFF62 Special Event selection, Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, to take place Monday, September 23, at the AMC Lincoln Square (1998 Broadway, New York).

Tom Arnold will be honored with the 2024 PSICF Comedy Hall of Fame Award at the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival.

Lionsgate has released the official trailer for Megalopolis, the epic film helmed by director Francis Ford Coppola. The movie is a Roman Epic set in an imagined Modern America. The City of New Rome must change, causing conflict between Cesar Catilina, a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero. What happens when you take a classic film, update it for a modern audience and then turn it into a Broadway musical? This seems to be a question producers and creatives have been asking themselves more and more over the last few years. With musicals like BACK TO THE FUTURE and THE OUTSIDERS currently playing the Great White Way, it seems like musical adaptations of hit films are here to stay. One of the recent examples of a beloved classic being mounted as a musical is TOOTSIE, based on the classic 1982 film starring Dustin Hoffman. Some might think of this 40+ year old film as an odd choice for adaptation – especially with the world’s perspective on gender and identity being much more evolved in today’s world – but the musical, TOOTSIE, on stage now as the opening show of Titusville Playhouse’s 60th season, shows the tale can be modern, fresh, relevant, entertaining and downright hilarious.

Cumberland Theatre teams with Embassy Theatre, Our Town Theatre, and Locust Post Brewery for a month-long Shakespeare festival in Allegany and Garrett Counties, featuring free performances and events.

Megalopolis, Francis Ford Coppola's lofty new film has set a studio and release date. Reports indicate that Megalopolis will be released by Lionsgate Studios on September 27, 2024. The fate of the film has been a bit of a roller coaster, as it was previously reported that studios were nervous to market and distribute Megalopolis, despite the director and star power attached to the film.
