Mercury Theater Chicago Executive Producers Walter Stearns and Eugene Dizon, Artistic Director Christopher Chase Carter and Managing Director Shane Murray-Corcoran reopened the theater with the first Mainstage production of the 2021-2022 Mercury Theater Chicago season, Sister Act, based on the 1992 film. 

Lyndon Terracini for Opera Australia and John Frost for Crossroads Live today announced that the Tony® Award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella will play at Melbourne's Regent Theatre from 20 May next year, and at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 23 October.

Vintage Theatre Productions presents Rodgers & Hammerstein's  “Cinderella” November 26, 2021 – January 9, 2022. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays (beginning Dec.11) and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 23 and January 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Patti LuPone, Rachel Bloom, Ben Kingsley, Rob Delaney, and Mark Heap have joined the cast of Netflix's School For Good & Evil. The new additions will join the previously announced Sophia Anne Caruso, Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Sophia Wylie, Jamie Flatters, Kit Young, Laurence Fishburne, and Michelle Yeoh. 

Douglas Carter Beane's Off-Broadway comedy Fairycakes will have its final performance on Sunday, November 21, 2021. It will have played 9 previews and 42 performances.

This holiday season, Virginia Children’s Theatre (VCT) presents Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA. Taking the stage at Shaftman Performance Hall in the Jefferson Center (541 Luck Ave SW), CINDERELLA will run December 3-5, 2021.

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) celebrates 30 years with one of the city's most talented actors, Liz Mikel. She made her debut on the DTC mainstage in 1991, appearing in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Since then, Mikel has been featured in multiple DTC productions and currently features in Cake Ladies at the Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre as Tweedy-Bird, a character written specifically for her.

Single tickets for the shows in Asolo Repertory Theatre's 2021-2022 season will go on sale to the public on Monday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m.
