Disney's THE LION KING begins performances this week at The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. THE LION KING will leap onto the Van Wezel stage on Thursday, March 14 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, March 31.

The musical ANASTASIA is the most saccharine, sweet, and kid-friendly musical I've seen to date. This all-ages production is particularly well suited for introducing younger audiences to the magic of musical theatre.

THE KING AND I is getting to know Madison, Wisconsin at the Overture Center from February 26 to March 3, 2019.

THE KING AND I plays through Sunday, February 24th at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. Singing and dancing along to the oh-so-familiar tunes is going a bit far, though some members of the audience are humming to themselves as the orchestra begins to tune.

Playhouse Square will present a special performance of Disney's THE LION KING for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorders and other sensory, social and cognitive challenges or issues and their families on Saturday, August 31 at 1:30 p.m. This marks the first-ever sensory-friendly performance of a touring Broadway show in Cleveland. Playhouse Square has previously presented sensory-friendly performances as part of the Children's Theater Series presented by University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's.

Tootsie is on its way to Broadway bringing a colorful cast of characters to life on stage. Tootsie will open on Broadway on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street) in the heart of Times Square. Broadway preview performances will begin on Friday, March 29, 2019.

NETworks Presentations announces that the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater Production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, based on the 2015 Tony Award -winning Lincoln Center Theater Production, will make its Madison premiere at Overture Center Tuesday, Feb. 26-Sunday, March 3, 2019 as part of the Broadway at Overture series. The box office for the new Broadway musical, TOOTSIE, will open on Friday, February 8 at 10am at the Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street). The Marquis Theatre box office will be open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm.  Beginning May 5, the box office will be open on Sundays from 12pm to 6pm.

After two successful years on Broadway, the musical adaptation of the hit animated fil, ANASTASIA will play its final performance on Sunday, March 31, 2019.

The producers of Anastasia have announced that Cody Simpson has extended his engagement in the hit musical for eight additional weeks. Simpson made his Broadway debut as "Dmitry" on November 29, 2018 and will continue to star in the Broadway production through April 14, 2019.
