It is third time lucky for Dominic Cooke's revival of C.P Taylor's GOOD, having been delayed twice by the pandemic. The first production from Cooke and Kate Horton's company, Fictionhouse, it stars David Tennant, Sharon Small and Elliot Levey. So what did the critics think?

From Dennis Nielsen to DJ in Don Juan In Soho, to the murderous vicar in the BBC’s Inside Man, David Tennant seems drawn to playing the antihero. As Professor John Halder, in CP Taylor’s 1982 play GOOD, he captures the moral downfall of an ordinary man who gradually embraces the Third Reich.

The weather might be cooling, but the West End is heating up. October's theatrical offerings provide an embarassment of riches, with some fantastic shows coming up: from David Tennant as the lead in C.P. Taylor's acclaimed play GOOD to Carrie Hope Fletcher in The Caucasian Chalk Circle at the Rose, to Juliet Stevenson in The Doctor and Elton's John's new musical Tammy Faye.

Mercury Theatre has announced the full cast for their pantomime this Christmas, Beauty and the Beast, written by Andrew Pollard and directed by Olivier Award-winning Donnacadh O'Briain.

Production images of Nicola Walker in The Corn is Green at the National Theatre have been released today. The Corn is Green by Emlyn Williams, and directed by Dominic Cooke, opens to press in the Lyttelton Theatre on Friday 22 April and runs until 11 June.

Kiln Theatre today announces the appointment of Sita McIntosh as Chair. McIntosh was a previous Trustee of Kiln Theatre and will be joining the current Board of Directors: Moyra McGarth Brown, Nicholas Basden, Dominic Cooke CBE, Karen Napier, Shrina Shah and Christopher Yu. Also joining Kiln Theatre as a new Trustee is Louis Charalambous.

The Royal Theatrical Support Trust (RTST) and English Touring Theatre (ETT) have announced Denzel Westley-Sanderson as the winner of the 2021 RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award and Nathan Crossan-Smith as the runner-up.
