There's another post-apocalyptic jukebox coming to theaters across the United States. Jim Steinman's BAT OUT OF HELL - The Musical kicks off a US national tour in Detroit this November. But, you don't have to wait for the show to tour to your neck of the woods to hear its score. Recently, Ghostlight Records released the rollicking BAT OUT OF HELL - The Musical Original Cast Recording, giving audiences the world over unprecedented access to the potentially epic musical.

Rock musical Bat Out of Hell had its debut performance in Manchester in 2017. Following a limited run at the London Coliseum soon after this, the production took over the Dominion Theatre in the West End in April this year. The show is loosely based upon a Peter Pan and Wendy-type story but is instead set in a post-apocalyptic world and consists mainly of songs made famous by Meatloaf in his trilogy of Bat Out Of Hell albums.

Having also played host to The Mandela Trilogy opera and new musical Only The Brave, it seems that the Wales Millennium Centre seems to be making a name for itself when it comes to mounting new productions. In its latest venture: Tiger Bay The Musical audiences are transported back to Cardiff in the 1900's, celebrating the heritage and events that shaped it into the city we know today, all woven together with a score by local composer Daf James and an array of Welsh talent in its cast.
