Hurrah for the green shoots in our beleaguered industry. Lots of venues are mounting new shows and bringing back our favourites over the next few weeks and months - albeit with social distancing and safety measures in place. Here are some of the live theatrical goodies on offer.

Hope Mill Theatre has announced that after selling-out the live run of their revival of the classic rock musical RENT in only 48 hours, the production will be filmed and broadcast online to a  strictly limited number of viewers.

The cast and full creative team has been announced for Hope Mill Theatre's hotly-anticipated revival of the classic rock musical RENT, directed by Luke Sheppard.

The West End Best Friend team's charity single, 'Unity', is now available!

West End Best Friend has announced details of their charity single, 'Unity', which will be released on Friday 17 July.

West End Best Friend has announced an international musical theatre singing competition called 'The Unity Project'. For The Unity Project, one lucky winner will be picked to be the eighth soloist on a charity single being releasing in July called 'Unity' with seven of the biggest stars in the UK's musical theatre scene.

Producers Jeffrey Seller and Cameron Mackintosh announce full casting for the London company of HAMILTON which is going into its second year at the Victoria Palace Theatre. The production is booking to 30 March 2019.

There's another post-apocalyptic jukebox coming to theaters across the United States. Jim Steinman's BAT OUT OF HELL - The Musical kicks off a US national tour in Detroit this November. But, you don't have to wait for the show to tour to your neck of the woods to hear its score. Recently, Ghostlight Records released the rollicking BAT OUT OF HELL - The Musical Original Cast Recording, giving audiences the world over unprecedented access to the potentially epic musical.

Rock musical Bat Out of Hell had its debut performance in Manchester in 2017. Following a limited run at the London Coliseum soon after this, the production took over the Dominion Theatre in the West End in April this year. The show is loosely based upon a Peter Pan and Wendy-type story but is instead set in a post-apocalyptic world and consists mainly of songs made famous by Meatloaf in his trilogy of Bat Out Of Hell albums.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced that Jim Steinman's BAT OUT OF HELL - The Musical Original Cast Recording is now available in digital and streaming formats, continuing the extraordinary rock 'n' roll legacy of some of the most successful records in music. A CD release is scheduled for release later this month

Casting has been announced for Moonfleet, a new British musical based on the novel by J Meade Falkner, to be staged by Salisbury Playhouse (19 April - 5 May 2018; Press Night Tuesday 24 April).

Having also played host to The Mandela Trilogy opera and new musical Only The Brave, it seems that the Wales Millennium Centre seems to be making a name for itself when it comes to mounting new productions. In its latest venture: Tiger Bay The Musical audiences are transported back to Cardiff in the 1900's, celebrating the heritage and events that shaped it into the city we know today, all woven together with a score by local composer Daf James and an array of Welsh talent in its cast.

Wales Millennium Centre presents the brand new Tiger Bay the Musical, which has its world premiere tonight at the iconic venue, where it will run until 25 November. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Producers David Sonenberg, Michael Cohl, Randy Lennox and Tony Smith announced today that tickets for the North American Premiere of Jim Steinman's BAT OUT OF HELL THE MUSICAL will go on sale Wednesday May 24, 2017. 

BAT OUT OF HELL star Andrew Polec (Strat) took a road trip from Philadelphia to Toronto to start rehearsals for the show's North American Premiere. Hop along for the ride in the video below!

Wales Millennium Centre has announced the full cast for brand new production Tiger Bay the Musical which has its world premiere at the iconic venue from 13 25 November with opening night for press on Wednesday 15 November.

Prior to the Toronto engagement, BAT OUT OF HELL THE MUSICAL played London's West End at the London Coliseum for limited run through July 22, 2017. The show also ran at the Manchester Opera House from February 17 - April 29, 2017. Below, go behind the scenes with the show's stars before the musical rides into Toronto!

Jim Steinman's Bat Out of Hell - The Musical is a romantic adventure about rebellious youth and passionate love, set against the backdrop of a post-cataclysmic city adrift from the mainland. Strat, the forever young leader of The Lost, has fallen for Raven, daughter of Falco, the tyrannical, ruler of Obsidian. The show made its world premiere last night at the London Coliseum. With wonderful reactions from audiences, standing ovations every night and audiences singing their hearts out at the end of each performance, the producers of Jim Steinman's Bat Out of Hell - The Musical are delighted to announce a further extension to the run at the London Coliseum this summer.

Directed by award-winning theatre and opera director Jay Scheib, the cast of Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical is led by Andrew Polec as Strat and Christina Bennington as Raven, with Rob Fowler as Falco and Sharon Sexton as Sloane. They are all featured in the photos, alongside Danielle Steers as Zahara and Dom Hartley-Harris as Jagwire, who perform Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad and Dead Ringer.
