Review: ALCOHOL POISON at TCs Midtown Grill
by Theresa Bertram
- May 10, 2023

When I found out that my friend Sharpe Dunaway was debuting a Poison tribute band at TCs Midtown Grill, 1611 E Oak St., Ste 19, in Conway, Saturday, May 6, I knew I had to be there. Poison was every girl's favorite 80s hair band, and their images adorned our walls. We screamed 'I love you' in true hormonal rage every time they came on the radio. Set in the 1930s, this new production centers the women who cross paths with Don Giovanni and ultimately deliver his grim fate. Mozart's sharp and otherworldly opera seamlessly blends dark comedy with biting social commentary, all set to some of opera's most stirring music.
