The third annual In the Works~In the Woods at Forestburgh Playhouse, (under the leadership of Franklin Trapp, Producing Artistic Director for the Forestburgh Playhouse and Broadway veteran Matt Lenz, Festival Artistic Director and Director of Creative Development), will be held September 8 through 10.

Sarasota Opera has announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Classic Movies at the Opera House. The Classic Movies at the Opera House series featuring many beloved movies will open on Friday, May 12th at 7:30 pm with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Throughout the summer and into the fall, featured movies will include films ranging from the 1930's to the 1990's. Tickets will be $12 and will go on sale starting on Wednesday, May 3. Additional movie titles are detailed below.

Cindy Williams, a star of stage and screen and one half of the iconic duo, 'Laverne & Shirley' has passed away at the age of 75.

Olivia Newton-John, best known to theatre fans as the star of the iconic 1978 film adaptation of the musical, Grease, has passed away at the age of 73. 

Cindy Williams will take the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater stage at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in her one-woman show, Me, Myself & Shirley for a limited two-show engagement April 16, 2022.

Cindy Williams will take the Long Center Rollins Studio Theatre stage in a one-woman show, Me, Myself & Shirley for a limited six-show engagement February 10-13, 2022. Tickets are on sale Monday, November 22 at 10 AM.

Actors' Playhouse, together with GFour Productions, producers of MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL and the 2021 Tony Award-winning Best Play THE INHERITANCE, will open their co-production of South Florida Playwright Dan Clancy's new play MIDDLETOWN next week at the Miracle Theatre.

Actors' Playhouse, together with GFour Productions, producers of MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL and Tony-nominated THE INHERITANCE and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, today announced that they will co-produce their new play MIDDLETOWN from November 17 to December 12, 2021 at the Miracle Theatre.

Festival events will take place throughout the day and evenings that weekend and will feature staged readings, talkbacks, celebrity Q&A's, special VIP events, parties and more.  All ITW events will happen on the bucolic Forestburgh Playhouse campus in Sullivan County.

Forestburgh Playhouse announced today the creation of In the Works~In the Woods, a new annual arts festival to take place September 9-12, as part of its 75th Anniversary Season.
