Art Lab and ShowTown Productions have announced a special streaming presentation of BKLYN The Musical, available for three performances this June 4, 5, and 6. Directed by Fofonoff, the cast of BKLYN The Musical includes Diana DeGarmo (Hair, BKLYN national tour) as Brooklyn; Miguel Cervantes (Hamilton national tour, American Idiot) as Taylor & more.
On Thursday, May 13th, Gale Brewer, City Council Candidate in District 6, will host “Broadway & Beyond for Brewer”, a star-studded virtual fundraiser with performances and appearances by fan favorites from the screen and Broadway stage.
BroadwayWorld recently had the opportunity to sit down with STAGES St. Louis associate producer Andrew Kuhlman. Andrew is a Best Musical Tony nominee as associate producer for The Prom. He is an educator who has taught both at the high school and collegiate levels. He is a graduate of Bradley University in Peoria Illinois and majored in Theater Performance. Andrew made the decision to return to St. Louis following graduation to pursue his career in the arts and spend time with his aging grandmother, putting family before his career. It is to the benefit of the vibrant St. Louis theater scene that Andrew lends his talents to help stage the Broadway caliber productions at STAGES St. Louis.

Since 1978, West Bank Cafe has been one of the epicenters of New York City’s theatre community, and due to the pandemic, it is on the verge of permanently closing. With Broadway dark, tourism down, indoor dining closed, and no relief plan in sight, 2020 has created a plethora of financial problems for the beloved theater district institution.
