The Cake opens at the Omaha Community Playhouse on Friday, October 7. A celebrated North Carolina baker is thrilled to finally design a wedding cake for her goddaughter. But when she learns the marriage is between two women, she begins to feel conflicted. A surprising and sweet take on a modern-day controversy, seeped in humor and warmth.

The story of Cinderella and her Prince is as aspirational and as inspirational as any to be found in the history of musical theater and we are once again delighted to tell you, gentle readers, that the current iteration of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella now onstage at Crossville’s Cumberland County Playhouse is as thoroughly satisfying and spellbinding as any we have ever seen.

With its fresh new take on the beloved tale of a young woman who is transformed from a chambermaid into a princess, the hilarious and romantic Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella combines the story's classic elements – the glass slippers, the pumpkin, and the prince’s ball – along with some surprising twists.

STICKS & STONES, a new musical with music by Grammy/Emmy winner John McDaniel (The Rosie O'Donnell Show, Catch Me If You Can, Annie Get Your Gun) and book/lyrics by Scott Logsdon (Les Misérables, Joyce Jackson's Guide to Dating) was given a private reading/presentation on Monday, February 25th at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.

If there is a more perfect pooch to portray Annie's Sandy than Rufus Stewart, then his humans should produce said canine for an upcoming production of the beloved Broadway musical post-haste. Until such time as that occurs, we are simply going to claim Rufus as the quintessential canine co-star for any number of red-headed moppets singing about "Tomorrow" while palling around with FDR, Frances Perkins, Harold Ickes and others of their political ilk.
