The Public Theater announced a one-week extension of the world premiere musical THE VISITOR. Officially opening today, Thursday, November 4, THE VISITOR began performances in the Newman Theater on Saturday, October 16 and will now run through Sunday, December 5.

“Diana, the Musical,” in partnership with Broadway Weekends, is creating an online theatre education program, designed for middle and high school teachers to use in class and after school. Offerings can be purchased as individual 75-minute live experiences and customizable workbooks.

It was announced last week that Beanie Feldstein will lead the first Broadway revival of FUNNY GIRL this spring. Lea Michele, who was previously tapped for a Ryan Murphy produced revival of the show that never materialized and brought many of the show's iconic songs to the mainstream for a new generation of fans on GLEE, has commented on the casting.

The play opened on Broadway in 2016 after an off-Broadway engagement at Roundabout Theatre Company. It won the Tony Award for Best Play; Reed Birney and Jayne Houdyshell took home acting awards, and David Zinn won for best scenic design.

Playwrights Horizons has extended Raja Feather Kelly | the feath3r theory's The KILL ONE Race, a performance-based work created and filmed at Playwrights Horizons during the pandemic, to July 31.
