Sedaristas are expected to fill the house; this annual reading and signing celebrates the October 2021 publication of A Carnival of Snackery, Diaries 2003-2020.

As live performances return to venues throughout Southern California, Irvine Barclay Theatre has announced nearly 20 shows that it has added to its season, which kicks off on September 19 with the country chart-topping trio The Gatlin Brothers.

David Sedaris, author of the previous bestsellers Calypso, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and regular National Public Radio contributor will be appearing for one night only at the Paramount Theatre, on Monday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m., following the release of his newest books The Best of Me and A Carnival of Snackery.

Louisville Public Media will present An Evening with David Sedaris for one night only at the Brown Theatre on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 8:00PM, following the release of his newest books The Best of Me and A Carnival of Snackery.

Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced the much-anticipated return of in-person performing arts across their venues: the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater. On September 18, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., Kimmel Cultural Campus will host a grand reopening event in Commonwealth Plaza to celebrate the start of the 2021-22 season.

Door Shakespeare has announced the third offering in 2020's Door Shakespeare Reading Series: Dream Upon Avon, by Wisconsin's own John Kishline, running Friday, December 11 through Sunday, December 13. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:00, and Sunday at 5:00. The Door Shakespeare Reading is free, with donations encouraged.
