Tim Crouch's play AN OAK TREE is a unique performance experience that revolves around a traveling hypnotist who discovers that the volunteer he's called up from the audience for his show is the father of a girl he accidentally killed in a car accident. As Crouch explains, for the grieving father 'nothing now is what it is. It's like he's in a play - but he doesn't know the words or the moves.'

See an encore presentation of The National Theatre of London's recent production of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar in HD on Tuesday, March 27th at 6:30 pm as part of the Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings Live in HD & Classical Series, underwritten by Jeanne Cook, Lori & John Berisford, Liz & Steven Goldstone, and Sabina & Walter Slavin?, with support from The Ridgefield Press and Whistle Stop Bakery. The play, recorded at The Bridge Theatre in London, is directed by Nicholas Hytner and stars Ben Whishaw (The Danish Girl, Skyfall, Hamlet) and Michelle Fairley (Fortitude, Game of Thrones) as Brutus and Cassius, David Calder (The Lost City of Z, The Hatton Garden Job) as Caesar and David Morrissey (The Missing, Hangmen, The Walking Dead) as Mark Antony.
National Theatre Announces New Casting for Upcoming Season

New casting announced for the new National Theatre season. Full cast has been announced for Brian Friel's Translations including Colin Morgan and Ciaran Hinds, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Eric Kofi Abrefa and Thalissa Teixeira join Vanessa Kirby in the cast of Julie, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Sam Mendes directs The Lehman Trilogy, a co-production with Neal Street Productions, cast includes Adam Godley, Ben Miles and Simon Russell Beale. Full casting is announced for the award winning An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, transferring to the National Theatre in a co-production with the Orange Tree Theatre. The NT will tour to 30 venues in 27 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, for a total of 83 playing weeks over the next year. Rufus Norris' Macbeth to tour to 18 venues across the UK and Ireland from autumn 2018. War Horse returns to the National Theatre marking the centenary of Armistice Day.

PBS is transporting viewers back to East London with a seventh season of the critically acclaimed British drama CALL THE MIDWIFE. The series returns on March 25, 2018, with back-to-back episodes from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET on PBS. The Sunday night lineup also features two new MASTERPIECE programs, including 'The Child in Time,' starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Kelly Macdonald, April 1, 9:00-10:30 p.m. ET, and 'Unforgotten' April 8-May 13, 2018, 9:00-10:30 p.m. ET.

Fathom Events, BY Experience and National Theatre Live have a full line-up of top London stage productions set for U.S. cinema audiences in early 2018. Newly added titles include director Nicholas Hytner's Bridge Theatre production of 'Julius Caesar' (March 22) and Rory Kinnear's return to the National Theatre stage as the title role in 'Macbeth' (May 17). These two titles are in addition to Tennessee Williams' 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' (February 22), captured live from London's West End, and the fastest-selling show in London theatre history -- and most-watched NT Live broadcast -- 'Hamlet' (March 8).

Award-winning theatre company Cardboard Citizens has announced that it will revive its critically acclaimed production of Cathy at Soho Theatre for three weeks from 27 March 14 April, alongside other UK dates this spring. The tour will culminate in a one week run at London's Albany Theatre from 1 5 May. The Soho Theatre run will give audiences the first chance to see the play as a stand-alone piece with the remaining dates offering an interactive forum.
