Life Our Own Way is the debut full-length solo debut from David Heatley, better known to the public at large for his work as a cartoonist and animation director. The album was recorded at Piety Street Recording in Henderson, Louisiana with additional recording done at Marigny Studios and House of 1,000hz in New Orleans.

Stray and the Soundtrack have joined forces with Lindsay Heather Pearce (Broadway’s current Elphaba in “Wicked’) to cover the classic David Bowie anthem “Heroes.' Written by David Bowie and Brian Eno, the song is now available on all streaming services.

David Byrne appeared on The Late Show with Seth Meyers last night to discuss the current Broadway engagement of American Utopia. Recently, after several members of the cast and crew tested positive, Byrne performed an 'Unchained' version of the show to avoid cancelling performances.

The $250 million deal includes the rights to songs like “Heroes,” “Changes,” “Space Oddity,” “Golden Years,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “All the Young Dudes,” “Fame,” “Let’s Dance,” “Rebel Rebel,” his 1981 “Under Pressure” Queen collaboration and many more. The deal also includes his tracks from soundtracks, such as Labyrinth, and his Tin Machine projects.

Gustavo Di Dalva, who serves as percussionist for the Broadway production of American Utopia, will appear on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” this week, sitting in as a guest drummer/percussionist with the 8G Band. David Byrne will also appear on the show as a guest tonight, January 3.
