A posthumous album by David Bowie has been released. The LP, 'Toy', is now available on all streaming platforms and on vinyl. The album was recorded from July to October 2000 in New York City and featured re-recordings of songs Bowie that were recorded between 1964 and 1971, along with a couple of new tracks. Centenary Stage Company’s January Thaw Music Festival comes to a close with Best of the Eagles on January 29 at 8:00 pm. The performance will take place in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ on the campus of Centenary University. Tickets for Best of the Eagles are $30.00 each and increase $5.00 the day of the performances.
Stray and the Soundtrack have joined forces with Lindsay Heather Pearce (Broadway’s current Elphaba in “Wicked’) to cover the classic David Bowie anthem “Heroes.' Written by David Bowie and Brian Eno, the song is now available on all streaming services.
The $250 million deal includes the rights to songs like “Heroes,” “Changes,” “Space Oddity,” “Golden Years,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “All the Young Dudes,” “Fame,” “Let’s Dance,” “Rebel Rebel,” his 1981 “Under Pressure” Queen collaboration and many more. The deal also includes his tracks from soundtracks, such as Labyrinth, and his Tin Machine projects.
