PrideArts today announced the full cast for its upcoming reading of SOUTHERN BAPTIST SISSIES, Del Shores’ comedy-drama that follows the journey of four gay boys in the Baptist Church as they look for love and acceptance in the church, and in the clubs of Dallas, Texas.

Pride Arts today announced a new slate of four plays for a spring of one-night only live virtual readings. The first is a reading of SPEECH AND DEBATE, by the Tony Award- winning playwright Stephen Karam.

It's the biggest trial in Purgatory, and Judas is on the stand surrounded by a Fellini-esque cast of character witnesses, from Satan to Sigmund Freud. Is he merely fallen or beyond forgiveness? Eclectic Full Contact Theater is proud to announce its upcoming 2016-2017 season which includes, 'Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead' (November 4 - December 4, 2016), 'The History Boys' (February 4 - March 5, 2017), and 'Gideon's Knot' (June 2 - July 2, 2017).

A slate of 4 vibrant and kinetic new LGBTQ+ plays and 1 musical have emerged as finalists in Pride Films and Plays' 2016 Great Gay Play and Musical Contest. They come from writers across the United States, and were selected by a reading team from across the country doing blind readings of the manuscripts. Those five scripts will be performed as Enhanced Staged Readings at the Center On Halsted's Hoover-Leppen, 3540 N Halsted, during Gay Play and Musical Weekend which is April 22 to 24, 2016. In honor of the 10th anniversary of Bailiwick Repertory's Jeff Award-winning production of PARADE, Bailiwick Chicago will present a special one night only staged concert of the musical on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 7:30 pm at The Mercury Theater, 3745 N.
