"Palace of the Occult," an interactive world premiere play begins previews on Friday the 13th of November at Chicago's Prop Thtr (3502 N. Elston).
It's the historic grand opening of the Palace of the Occult, presided over by popular psychic of the day, Erik Jan Hanussen. Be charmed by his stories and personally involved in his astonishing feats-but who is he, really? Seer or charlatan? Nazi or Jew? Traitor or martyr?
Based on actual events, "Palace of the Occult" will give you a new perspective on pre-Holocaust history while introducing you to one of the most colorful yet overlooked figures of the time.
Proceeds benefit the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, and a representative will be conducting an audience talkback immediately following the performance on November 29.
"Palace of the Occult" is directed by David Belew; written and performed by Neil Tobin; and produced by Eclectic Full Contact Theatre. Run: November 13-December 20, 2015; Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm, Sundays at 7pm. For details and tickets, call 800-838-3006 or visit http://palaceoftheoccult.com.
