UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) announces the 2022–23 Fall/Winter program lineup bringing Grammy Award-winning musicians, masters of dance and multi-disciplinary collaborations to the stages of UCLA's Royce Hall and The Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater.

The inaugural Oceans Calling Festival has unveiled the 2022 lineup, bringing powerhouse headliners Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds (Friday), The Lumineers (Saturday), and Alanis Morissette (Sunday) to the southern end of the iconic Ocean City, Maryland Boardwalk at Ocean City Inlet Beach on September 30-October 2.

Live Arts Theater's 2021/22 reIGNITE Season closes with Dario Fo's hilarious political farce ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST in a translation by Jon Laskin and Michael Aquilante, directed by Live Arts Artistic Director Susan E. Evans. ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST will have 12 performances, May 20 through June 5, at Live Arts Theater, 123 E. Water Street, in Charlottesville.

Mayo Performing Arts Center returns its free summer Arts in the Community concerts and movies to various locations in Morristown.   

Touré—who is known as the “Hendrix of the Sahara” and the son of the late Desert Blues pioneer Ali Farka Touré—spent two years making Les Racines, representing a deep reconnection with the Songhai music of Northern Mali known as Desert Blues, made famous by his father. Interlochen Center for the Arts has unveiled the full lineup for its 2022 Interlochen Arts Festival with the announcement of nine additional performers.

SITW will celebrate art, culture and music with performances by Ashanti & Ja Rule, Ashe, Baby Tate, Baird, BIA, Blxst, Calvin Harris, Chloe x Halle, Dave Matthews Band, Tyler, The Creator, Usher, Dominic Fike, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Lucky Daye, María Isabel, JID, T.I., Tierra Whack, Tobe Nwigwe, Tokischa, and more to be announced.

Despite challenges of the global pandemic, Seattle Theatre Group has been hard at work this past year: creating a new spoken-word showcase for youth of color, producing online programming for more than 30,540 viewers and participants, and safely bringing a variety of musical, dance, and theatrical acts to the stage, including Black Violin, the Indigenous Canadian dance troupe, Red Sky, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, to name a few.

A consummate master of the Afro-Cuban folkloric music and the bata drum, Pedrito Martinez is one of Cuba's hottest musical exports. He has performed with dozens of Cuban rumba groups and contributed to several important films, including Calle 54 (2000) and Chico and Rita (2010). Since settling in New York City in the fall of 1998, he has recorded or performed with Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews and Sting, among others, and contributed to over 100 albums.

The 2021/22 reIGNITE Live Arts Season continues with Lucy Kirkwood's provocative and chilling eco-thriller THE CHILDREN. After postponing production during the truncated 2019/20 Season, Live Arts is tremendously excited to share THE CHILDREN with Charlottesville audiences in a Central Virginia premiere.

The Long Island Music Hall of Fame has announced that it has voted Robert S. Posner, from Northport, NY, to join its board of trustees.  

The Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation will present the sixth annual LOVE ROCKS NYC benefit concert for God's Love We Deliver live from the historic Beacon Theatre in NYC on Thursday, March 10.
