Cirque du Soleil has announced that its Friday special programming offer is expanding with the addition of two new content formats: 'Cirque du Soleil Presents: The Best Of' showcasing live show highlights of fan favorite acrobatic disciplines, and 'Behind the Curtain' which spotlights the creation process of select Cirque du Soleil shows.

A welcome addition to Cirque du Soleil's 30th anniversary in the UK, the show will visit Leeds from 18 to 21 June and London from 24 June to 5 July 2020. This unique production, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, first premiered in Montreal under the Big Top in April 2005. Since then and including its transformation into an arena show in 2018, the show has amazed audiences of over 9 million people, in 20 countries, on 4 continents.

Einstein on the Beach will play at the Grand Theatre de Geneve Sept. 11-18. Philip Glass and Robert Wilson's opera Einstein on the Beach (1976) is a meditation on time, place, spaces and events, human beings and machines. It has no narration, no plot and follows no biographical intention. The audience can take breaks at any chosen moment. The words used and sung are either numbers or syllables, with the occasional 'low-sensical' monologue added to the music.

Though the world-famous 35-year-old Montreal-based entertainment troupe Cirque du Soleil has never been known for making political statements with their extravaganzas of culture and athleticism - and while the timing is undoubtedly just coincidental - one can't help at least a passing thought of how appropriate it is to have their glorious new showpiece, LUZIA: A WAKING DREAM OF MEXICO, on tour during a time when America's president continually attempts to villainize our southern neighbor.

Corteo, the latest and most enchanting Cirque du Soleil's arena production is now touring in North America. The show will visit Hershey at the Giant Center from Aug 28 to Sept 1, 2019 for a limited run of 7 performances. This unique production, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, first premiered in Montreal under the Big Top in April 2005. Since then, the show has been a great success and has amazed 9 million people in 19 countries on four continents.

Due to popular demand, on Sunday April 28 the Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre will present two encore performances of CLOUD SOUP by acclaimed physical theatre artist Wolfe Bowart. The theatre's Artistic Director Bryan Falcon invited Bowart to return to the Scoundrel & Scamp's mainstage following his sold-out season in January. Cloud Soup became the first production in the theatre's short history to sell out. Bowart will perform the additional shows in Tucson before premiering Cloud Soup in Australia later in the Summer. Cirque du Soleil is coming to New York City with its delightfully-imaginative and visually-stunning production LUZIA, a waking dream of Mexico. From May 2 - 26, 2019, audiences are invited to a redesigned white-and-gold Big Top at CITI Field to escape to an imaginary Mexico - a sumptuous world suspended between dreams and reality.
