Directed by Nicolas Minas, Dramaturgy by Nathan Cann, Musical Direction by Dana P. Rowe with Don Kelly on drums, Jim Piela on sax/clarinet/flute, Jamie Mohamdien on bass.

Today's subjects Dana P. Rowe and John Dempsey are currently living their theatre lives as the writing team for the excellent swashbuckling World Premiere Musical Blackbeard at Signature Theatre. The production runs through July 14th in the MAX.

Signature Theatre concludes its 29th season with a World Premiere musical written by, in my opinion, one of the most underrated writing teams working in musical theatre today. Blackbeard written by John Dempsey (Book & Lyrics) and Dana P. Rowe (Music) has everything you could ever want in a musical. It features a high quality score, a great cast, excellent production values, and swordplay. What more do 1you need?

After learning he's a wanted man by the British army, Blackbeard and his merry crew of maritime marauders embark on a fantastical journey across the globe to raise an undead pirate army from the depths of the sea. Blackbeard will run from June 18 - July 14, 2019 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.

'The Witches of Eastwick' is a novel by John Updike, which was filmed in the 80s and became one of the decade's greatest cult films of the same name. The story was rebuilt into musical and was first put on London's West End. We can now proudly present the 'Witches in Eastwick' on Circus this fall which is something very unique in its kind, never before has this award-winning musical been made in Sweden. The premiere is on September 19th at Circus in Stockholm.

The Crazy Coqs Presents: Rodgers & Hammerstein - A Musical Celebration for Mother's Day - Sunday 31st March at 7pm.

A group of nationally renowned playwrights will present public readings of their newest scripts at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis' Ignite! Festival of New Plays, running March 27 - April 4, 2019 in The Rep's Emerson Studio Theatre.

The Theatre in the Park Winter Academy presented ZOMBIE PROM, for a limited engagement on Friday, December 28 and Saturday, December 29. The performance would best be described as fabulous, hilarious and one of the most professional young performer musicals to have appeared in Kansas City. Unfortunately for theater audiences, it did only run two days, so it had a limited audience.

Imagination Stage's Musical Theatre Conservatory will perform Zombie Prom, a girl-loves-ghoul rock and roll musical set in the atomic 1950's, on May 18-20, 2018 in the Christopher and Dana Reeve Studio Theatre.

ZOMBIE PROM is an Off-Broadway musical that was later adapted into a short film. It was first produced at the Red Barn Theatre, Key West, Florida in 1993. It opened off-Broadway in 1996.

Feinstein's/54 Below will present the timely rock musical The Fix: In Concert for one night only, featuring an all-star cast, today, August 9th at 9:30pm.
