The Tank (Meghan Finn, Artistic Director; Johnny G. Lloyd, Director of Artistic Development) will present the World Premiere of the family-friendly Simon and His Shoes by Steph Singer and Laurel Haines and directed by Meghan Finn, which will run October 1-30 at The Tank

Vatican Falls, the controversial play written by Frank J. Avella that closely examines the Catholic sex abuse scandal while telling real survivor stories and exploring the fictional journey of one particular survivor will make its world premiere this Fall in a limited engagement run Off-Broadway.

Campana Pictures and Random Acts will premiere VIRAL, a premiere horror film starring Shannon Leigh Webber (Scary Stories: Dark Web), Jessica Arden Napier (Stranger Things, Halloween Kills), and Jeff Award winner Deanna Reed Foster (Shining Girls, Widows).

Broadway actress and singer songwriter, Lauren Elder has made it to the quarterfinals in the Audacy Opening Act competition, with a grand prize of opening the We Can Survive concert at the Bowl, as well as a cash prize of $10,000.

The Tank will present Immense Joy, a new work devised and directed by downtown luminary Anna Kohler in collaboration with performers Natalia de Campos, Justin Gordon, John Hagan, Fabio Tavares, and associate director Caleb Hammond. The performances run from September 8 through 18, 2022.

The Tank announced programming for their eco-forward festivals, TrashFest and DarkFest, from Saturday July 30 – Sunday August 7, 2022. Both festivals will take place in-person at The Tank NYC.

Random Acts has announced the upcoming premiere of 'Home Movies: Die Hard,' set for July 25 at 7:00pm. 'Home Movies' is an ongoing series featuring professional actors recreating a Hollywood film from home in one take.

The Cape Cod Theatre Project (CCTP) presents the largest cast of the 2022 season with Brittany K. Allen's MTC/Sloan Commission, Ball Change, on July  14th, 15th, and 16th at 7:30pm ET at Falmouth Academy, directed by New York-based Dina Vovsi.

Out of 163 submissions, the San Diego State University New Musical Initiative has chosen In a Sunshine State as this year's selection. Writers T.C. Lind, Derek Gregor, and Phoebe Kreutz will join with director Stephen Brotebeck, music director Robert Meffe and the SDSU MFA Musical Theatre cohort for a two-year development process and world premiere in the spring of 2024.

The Tank has announced initial programming for its annual PrideFest. Every year in June, The Tank opens the floor to a wide variety of performances and discussions surrounding the topics of sexuality, gender, and equality, old battles, and new ways of fighting them.

After reaching 75 countries and over one million screens, Random Acts has announced the first wave of projects for the rest of 2022. Up next is a Home Movies presentation of 'Red Riding Hood,' in which professional actors recreate a Hollywood film from home in one take.

The newest production in SDSU’s New Musical Initiative, Postcard American Town will have its world premiere from April 29 – May 5, 2022. Written by Lynne Shankel and Crystal Skillman, this world premiere production will be directed by Professor Stephen Brotebeck, and music directed by Professor Robert Meffe from the School of Theatre, Television, and Film. 

The Tank will present two Mario Fratti Award-winning plays, The Land of the Swollen Faces by Paolo Bignami, translated by Carlotta Brentan, and directed by Laura Caparrotti and Jay Stern and Hide and Seek by Tobia Rossi, translated and directed by Carlotta Brentan.

While protestors gather on the east coast to rally against the big corporation East Coast Energy Solutions, the girl convinces Rain to set out on a cross-country trip to find her mother and save the world in the same breath. Crystal Skillman’s play is a dreamer’s guide to heroic activism. It’s a piece with good intent, euphoric in its stagecraft but unconvincing in its story.

Brooklyn's Brave New World Repertory Theatre has announced the fifth edition of its annual new play reading series, Brave New Works 2022: Ditmas Park. In this yearly series, Brave New World Rep (BNW) looks for new plays that address specific hot-button issues of social justice ranging from Race in America and Diversity to Climate Change and Police Reform.

Rain and Zoe Save the World, written by Crystal Skillman with original music by Bobby Cronin and directed by Hersh Ellis, will open February 17th at Jermyn Street Theatre in London.
