The Black Moods to Embark on U.S. Tour This Summer

The tour will include festival appearances at Colorado City Music Fest (Hilldale, UT) and Brat Fest (Madison, WI). The Phoenix, AZ-based modern rock trio are also excited to announce they’ll be returning as a headlining act at Roger Clyne & The Peacemaker’s annual Circus Mexicus festival set in Puerto Penasco, MX from June 6-9 as it celebrates its 25th year anniversary. The Hails to Headline Gainesville's High Dive's Last Hurrah

The Hails have announced that they will be headlining Gainesville, Florida’s infamous High Dive’s last hurrah, All Hail High Dive, before closure. Taking place on May 19, with support still to be announced, the indie five-piece is the perfect example of the musical launch pad High Dive has been for the Florida music scene over the last decade plus. Last week, High Dive’s founder and owner Pat Lavery shared on social media that the venue is coming to a sudden end after their landlord informed them they had 30 days to vacate to make way for the new owner who will redevelop the property.

Between all the constant assignments and exams, it’s incredibly easy to feel a phenomenon known as burnout. Burnout is very common in college, especially towards the end of the semester. I have lots of personal experiences with burnout, both in high school and college. I feel varying degrees of unmotivation at times, although there are some days that are way worse than others. The worst of it typically occurs towards the end of the semester, a time when I’m mentally exhausted. Burnout can be hard to navigate when all you feel like doing is laying down and doing nothing, but there are some workarounds.

The song features R&B breakouts and fellow ARTium Recordings collaborators Jordan Ward and Ogi along with rising independent singer-songwriter Madison McFerrin.The new track comes ahead of the Chicago duo’s highly anticipated joint album From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID out soon via ARTium Recordings. “head.rap,” is a simply crafted, incredibly catchy ode to Black hair. It’s calming and mellow, with brilliantly layered verses from Saba, a powerful hook shared by Ward and Ogi, lucious backing vocals from McFerrin, and a gently percussive beat that sounds like the memory of a summer’s day.
