Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, continued its 11th Season with George Bernard Shaw's GENEVA. Written and first produced in 1938, Geneva is a wildly satirical political comedy. In it, a German Jew arrives in Geneva demanding a summit meeting designed to contain the increasingly dangerous behavior of three dictators, Herr Battler, Signor Bombardone, and General Flanco (parodies of Hitler, Mussolini and Franco). The three are brought before the International Criminal Court of the League of Nations to justify their atrocities.

Broadway Records President Van Dean, SiriusXM Radio Host Seth Rudetsky and Producer James Wesley launched the charitable initiative Broadway for Orlando with an all-star roster of theater artists recording the benefit single 'What the World Needs Now is Love,' at Avatar Studios. Created to honor the victims and those wounded in the Orlando shooting massacre at Pulse nightclub and aid the surrounding community, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the song will benefit the LGBT Center of Central Florida. The Marvelous Wonderettes are back! The long-running Off-Broadway hit musical celebrated its opening night at New York's Theatre Row last night, April 28th. The show, featuring such classic fifties and sixties hits as 'Lollipop,' 'Dream Lover,' 'Stupid Cupid,' 'Son of a Preacher Man,' 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,' and 'It's My Party,' stars Christina Bianco as Missy, Kathy Brier as Suzy, Jenna Leigh Green as Cindy Lou, and Sally Schwab as Betty Jean. This Friday, March 25th, a private reading will be held of FIXING FRANKIE, a new musical by Joe Langworth (book and lyrics) and Steve Marzullo (music). The team, who met during the original production of RAGTIME in 1996, co-conceived this new musical comedy and it is their first full-length collaboration. Langworth will also direct with Marzullo providing musical direction.
The 'Tomatoes Got Talent' show took place on Sunday, March 13, at the Triad on West72nd Street. Randie Levine-Miller, emceed and co-produced the talent show competition featuring women over 40, with Cheryl Benton of The Three Tomatoes.
