The next Musical Theatre Melodies broadcast, hosted by Rob Morrison on 96.5 FM on Tuesday, February 7 will mark the 40th anniversary year of the David Shire and Richard Maltby Jr. musical BABY from the 2022 Out of the Box Theatrics Off-Broadway cast recording starring Julia Murney, Christina Sajous, Gabrielle McClinton, Johnny Link, Liz Flemming and Robert H. Fowler with Ethan Paulini, Jewell Noel, Jorge Donoso and Marisa Kirby (prior to its general release on 13 February.)

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will celebrate Baby: New Off-Broadway Cast Recording with a special concert at New York's The Green Room 42 on Monday, February 13 at 7:00 PM. The event features Julia Murney and cast members from the 2021 Off-Broadway production by Out of the Box Theatrics, which was nominated for a 2022 Drama Desk Award for “Outstanding Revival of a Musical.”

Stephen DeAngelis continues his ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies, and Alternates with the next edition in his monthly residency of AT THIS PERFORMANCE… to be held on Monday, January 23rd at The Green Room 42 at 7pm.

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release Baby: New Off-Broadway Cast Recording next year to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the show’s original production. The album is scheduled for release on streaming and digital platforms on February 14, 2023.

The American Theatre Guild will present the North American debut of R.E.S.P.E.C.T., an electrifying tribute celebrating the legendary Aretha Franklin. This production is part of the BROADWAY AT THE ORPHEUM THEATRE SERIES and takes the Orpheum Theatre stage January 13–15, 2023.

NYU Skirball will present The Classical Theatre of Harlem’s acclaimed production of Twelfth Night, winner of two 2022 AUDELCO Awards, running February 11 – 19 at NYU Skirball. 

The American Theatre Guild will present the North American debut of R.E.S.P.E.C.T., an electrifying tribute celebrating the legendary Aretha Franklin. This production is part of the BROADWAY AT THE FOX IN RIVERSIDE SERIES and will take the Fox Performing Arts Center stage Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.

The American Theatre Guild will present the North American debut of R.E.S.P.E.C.T., an electrifying tribute celebrating the legendary Aretha Franklin. This production is part of the BROADWAY IN SANTA BARBARA SERIES and will take The Granada Theatre stage January 3–4, 2022.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE…  returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies and Alternates from SIX THE MUSICAL; & JULIET;  KIMBERLY AKIMBO; ALMOST FAMOUS; MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG; KINKY BOOTS and BAT OUT OF HELL.  

The NYC-based THEE (The Hey Ensemble) will see members develop original works of theatre and film in a non-hierarchical, ensemble-based atmosphere. The company was rebuilt to align with a mutually agreed upon set of unapologetic values that uplift accessibility, collaboration, and equity.

At This Performance…  will return to The Green Room 42 featuring standbys, understudies, and alternates From Moulin Rouge! The Musical; Almost Famous; Hadestown; Funny Girl; Aladdin; and Paradise Square.  

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan has announced the line-up for fall theater arts programs, happening in-person with the Lambert Center for Arts + Ideas in Goldman-Sonnenfeldt Auditorium and at JCC Harlem.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T    is coming to the FIM Whiting Auditorium on October 27 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is the ultimate tribute to the legendary Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

Out of the Box Theatrics and Jennifer Campos Productions will present a staged reading of CALL ME ABIGAIL by Shelli Pentimall Bookler on Monday, October 17, available for in person or livestream viewing.

The Out of the Box Theatrics (OOTB) revival of Floyd Collins, previously announced for an Off-Broadway production this fall to be directed by Christina Sajous, has been canceled. OOTB was granted a license to produce Floyd Collins but were later informed that the authors, Tina Landau and Adam Guettel, are in the process of revising the musical and do not wish for it to be performed in New York City at this time.

A private industry reading will be held in New York City of A Wonderful World, a new musical based on the life and songs of jazz legend and American icon Louis Armstrong, starring Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE…  returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies and Alternates from INTO THE WOODS; DEAR EVAN HANSEN; PARADISE SQUARE; LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS; ROCK OF AGES and THE BEDWETTER.

The Public Theater presents its Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Public Works' AS YOU LIKE IT, running through Sunday, September 11 at The Delacorte Theatre.
