After 56 weeks of online production EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH returns live with its interactive musical comedy revue improvised based on audience suggestions and participation.

Rob Paine has been associated with the Oscars telecast for more than 20 years and returns as supervising producer.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre will present the New England premiere of Until the Flood by Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith from April 17 to May 2 – via video on demand only, according to Nancy L. Donahue Artistic Director Courtney Sale and Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas.

Passersby in Lower Manhattan got a treat on Saturday afternoon. As a part of NY PopsUp- the sprawling arts festival intended to bring back the arts sector in New York State, Tony Award winner Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, and Ximone Rose united to bring music back to the city.

NY PopsUp has announced the lineup for its next performance, taking place this Saturday, February 27. This weekend's performance will feature a 'musical collaboration' between Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, Ximone Rose, Nadia Digiallonardo, Meg Toohey, and Marq Walls.

The inaugural NY PopsUp performance took place on Saturday, February 20, at 12:30 for staff at the Javits Center.  The event was a NYC Love Riot led by Jon Batiste, featuring Ayodele Casel and Anthony Roth Costanzo in Manhattan and Brooklyn. 

NY PopsUp is an expansive festival consisting of hundreds of pop-up performances that will regularly permeate the daily lives of New Yorkers. It is intended to revitalize the spirit and emotional well-being of New York citizens through the energy of live performance.

NY PopsUp, an unprecedented and expansive festival featuring hundreds of pop-up performances (many of which are free of charge and all open to the public) that will intersect with the daily lives of New Yorkers, has been announced by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo. This series of events, intended to revitalize the spirit and emotional well-being of New York citizens with the energy of live performance while jumpstarting New York’s struggling live entertainment sector, is a private / public partnership overseen by producers Scott Rudin and Jane Rosenthal, in coordination with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and Empire State Development (ESD). 

The full-list of nominees for the 52nd NAACP Image Awards were announced today in a special virtual event on NAACP Image Awards’ Instagram channel hosted by Tony-award winning actress and singer Anika Noni-Rose, actress and singer Chloe Bailey, actress Erika Alexander, actor, dancer, and choreographer Nicco Annan, and actor and singer TC Carson.

The program proposes a four-year extension and enhancement of the musical and theatrical production tax credit for New York City productions, providing up to $25 million to re-open in the industry and promote tourism in the city.
