COMPANY on Broadway takes its final bow today, July 31st at 2pm. This gender-swapped revival received five 2022 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. Upon closing, this revival of Stephen Sondheim’s and George Furth’s COMPANY will have played 300 performances (268 regular performances and 32 previews).

The thrilling revival of Stephen Sondheim’s and George Furth’s Company, which is the most honored musical of the Broadway season receiving every major award for Best Musical Revival including the 2022 Tony Award, will play its final performance at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on Sunday, July 31 at 2 PM. A North American tour of Company is planned for the 2023-2024 season.

Casting was announced today (20 June 2022) for the smash-hit production of C.S. Lewis' classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which will make its West End premiere this summer at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, Drury Lane, London.  The show, which begins rehearsals today, is produced by the same team that recently won 5 Tony Awards for its production of Company on Broadway.

Last night, the company of Company had lots to celebrate! The show won five awards at the 75th Annual Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. After the festivities wrapped up at Radio City Music Hall, the cast and creatives, along with friends and other members of the Company team, got together to toast the show's success. 

Last night, the 75th Annual Tony Awards were hosted by Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose. The evening included appearances by Hugh Jackman, Sutton Foster, Patti LuPone, Jennifer Hudson, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele, Andrew Garfield, Cynthia Erivo, and more. COMPANY director, Marianne Elliott, has made history as the first female to win three Tony Awards for directing!

This morning they were just nominees, but tonight... they're winners! BroadwayWorld is backstage at Radio City Musical Hall for the 75th Annual Tony Awards and we're bringing you live photos of tonight's winners.

Producer Chris Harper accepted the award noting that 'One of the things that was so clear to us when we first decided to do this musical was the person that we wanted was Patti LuPone.' He continued, teasing LuPone, 'One of the greatest honors of my career is to pay Patti LuPone's salary.'

On Friday, May 20, 2022, one hour before the Drama League Awards, Board President Bonnie Comley, Kirk Iwanowski, Mary Jain, and the Board Hosted a VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards right next to the Ziegfeld Ballroom. While the Drama League Distinguished Performance nominees were lining up for the dais, a cocktail party was in full swing in the adjacent ballroom.

A-list guests at the event included Patti LuPone (Company, Evita, Gypsy), Ben Vereen (Pippin, Fosse, Wicked), Sutton Foster (The Music Man, Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie), and freshly-minted 2022 Tony Award Nominated Actresses Shoshana Bean (Mr. Saturday Night, Wicked) Gabby Beans (Skin of Our Teeth, 'Succession,' 'House of Cards'), and Lear deBessonet (Encores! Into The Woods, Hercules, Miss You Like Hell), who will present the esteemed awards.

The smash-hit production of C.S. Lewis' classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which has been wowing audiences around the UK and Ireland, will make its West End premiere this summer at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, Drury Lane, London.

Tonys season is here at last! The nominations for the biggest Broadway awards ceremony were announced last week on Monday, May 9. Leading the pack was A Strange Loop with eleven nominations, followed closely by MJ and Paradise Square, with ten nominations each.

This past weekend, Tracie Bennett, Erin Davie, Antwayn Hopper, Michael R. Jackson, John Earl Jelks, Tavon Olds-Sample, Andy Nyman, Soara-Joye Ross, Jessie Shelton, Matthew Sklar, Antoine L. Smith, original cast members Pamela Myers and Teri Ralston, and more were on hand to celebrate the exclusive screening of “Keeping Company with Sondheim”, a documentary from Great Performances on PBS. 

COMPANY which opens this week, has announced a landmark partnership with Black Theatre Coalition, an organization dedicated to eradicating racial inequities in the theatre industry, in the creation of a comprehensive paid apprentice program for creative and management professionals pursuing a career in theatre. 

Over the weekend, the Original Immersive Van Gogh celebrated its highly-anticipated return to New York City with a 'Starry Night' reopening at Pier 36 (229 South St). Immersive Van Gogh, the blockbuster art installation of the iconic work by Vincent van Gogh, is back by popular demand through January 2, 2022.

Final casting was announced today for the smash-hit Leeds Playhouse production of C.S. Lewis' classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe which begins a major tour of the UK and Ireland on November 2, 2021.   TV and theatre star Samantha Womack completes the cast to play Narnia's evil White Witch.
