The Avenue Blackbox Theatre closes its successful inaugural season with its most ambitious production to date - 'Things Went Horribly Wrong,' on stage from April 25 to May 5. This world-premiere production will break boundaries and initiate a new model for immersive theatre that engages community in transformative conversations and relationships. Audible Inc. has announced new casting today for the world premiere of Proof of Love, the new play by Audible-commissioned playwright Chisa Hutchinson (Surely Goodness and Mercy, Somebody's Daughter), directed by Jade King Carroll (The Gin Game, Hello From the Children of Planet Earth) and produced in association with New York Theatre Workshop. The production will now feature Brenda Pressley (The Lyons, Almost Home, Seven Guitars), replacing the previously announced Suzzanne Douglas who is withdrawing due to personal reasons.

Sarita Covington, Jay Mazyck, Brenda Pressley, Courtney Thomas, and Cezar Williams star under Jessi D. Hill's direction. Performances for this limited Off-Broadway engagement of Surely Goodness and Mercy will continue through Saturday April 13th only, with opening night set for Wednesday March 13th.
