Rise of the Usher has elements of All About Eve as well as parallels to Shakespeare's Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. The ambitious protagonist rises to the top of the usher anthill to achieve chief usher status. When she later transitions from her focus from career to romantic life, she learns about boldness from the heart versus ambition and realizes that different rules apply. (more...)

An Anonymous Contributor, an original solo show about the shadowy world of academic ghostwriting, is returning to Stage Left Studio (214 W 30th Street, 6th floor) this June before touring to the Edmonton Fringe Festival in Canada in August. Performance dates for Stage Left are this weekend, June 26th, 27th, and 28th at 7:30 pm, while the Fringe in Edmonton takes place on August 13th-23rd.
